Oh, com'n!  Glasses are sexy!  All you need is a little shorter of a shirt, so the guys know you're up for grabs- those that "make passes" are typically easily intimidated by girls who don't look like sluts.  ;)

Then again, I'm one who tends to think nerdy girls are cute, so, meh.

So I'll be nerdy now, huh?

My owner wears glasses and She is very cute and sexy in them.  In fact, She has that naughty librarian look about Her.  She just makes me want to return a book late and pay the stiff penalty;-)   Add the fact that She's gothic and She's even sexier.....

CuriousLord -> RE: Boys Don't Make Passes at Girls Who Wear Glasses (10/10/2007 5:00:44 PM)

That all depends.  Are you getting the glasses set, where you get the trademark pocket-protector protector and completing changing your personality to suit the role, or are you just getting some spiffy new glasses?

Heh.  No need to be insecure.  There's really nothing wrong with glasses, at least to me- I guess everyone's a little different.  It'll just be another thing you can add to your style dynamic.. you girls and your.. "fashion"..

I guess you can always go with contacts if you happen to decide against the glasses, so it's not like you're bonded to them if it just doesn't work for ya.

From my summer working at Hour Eyes in high school, I can tell you round faces look better with angular frames and angular faces look better with round frames.  Don't get any special coatings on the lenses, they're expensive and most just attract oil and dust and you have to clean them constantly.  If you decide to get prescription lenses, get them polarized: less UV exposure and a sharper picture.

I think she`s refering to perscrition sunglasses. Yes?

RayBan makes really nice perscription sunglasses.

Just keep wearing hot stuff like you're sporting in your picture, and they'll
never even notice you're wearing glasses.

"I can see your dirty pillows".

If you catch a '2 for 1' sale you can get completely different styles which I love to do. For you I think a bold frame would be fantastic.

LadyLynx -> RE: Boys Don't Make Passes at Girls Who Wear Glasses (10/10/2007 6:42:03 PM)

I think you would look cute in no matter what you wear Aileen. :)

Maybe: Star Trek or Star Wars?

If trek, which Trek? TOS, TNG, DS9 ( Or the Original Concept , Babylon 5 ) , VGR, or ENT?

youngsubgeoff -> RE: Boys Don't Make Passes at Girls Who Wear Glasses (10/10/2007 7:24:17 PM)

honestly, I think glasses on a good looking woman only serve to make her more attractive.

Marc2b -> RE: Boys Don't Make Passes at Girls Who Wear Glasses (10/10/2007 7:24:46 PM)

Totally agree with you about the contact lenses.

I agree with feastie and others that, if finances allow, you should get more than one pair. Get a pair for each of the various Alieens there are. I..e. one for the "sexy gown at the gourmet restaurant, " Alieen, one for the "doing the grocery shopping and other errands," Alieen, one for "day at the amusement park," Aileen and so on. For that last one you want to get prescription sunglasses. I second the notion of avoiding transitions – I just found them annoying.

From a wearer of glasses for many years now....Get ones that are flexible and lightweight, above all else.

YourhandMyAss -> RE: Boys Don't Make Passes at Girls Who Wear Glasses (10/10/2007 7:47:52 PM)

Eh, I thnk it's a waste of money to buy tons of frames, to wear only for particular personality uses. I wear the same frame for every single "me personality" there is.  But I chose a pair that are cute and flatter my face well, and doesn't hide me behind a huge pair of lenses.

Of course women in glasses are sexy as hell! Then again, I had a serious crush on Velma from Scooby Doo. Oh MAN! Did you see when Linda Cardelini played her? I wanted to make her make noises only Scooby could hear! Gawd I luvs me some nerd girls!!! :)

Get some Channel frames; nothing too garish though.

Lol...I thought Channel went out of business years ago.
Now if you meant Chanel...

D'oh me!

I still think you'd look cute with the little crossed double C's on your rims.

It could stand for cunt cunt.

I’m not talking about buying a dozen frames, more like two or three. I own three pair myself, my every day pair, prescription sunglasses, and prescription work glasses.

Aileen68 -> RE: Boys Don't Make Passes at Girls Who Wear Glasses (10/10/2007 8:34:01 PM)

I'm probably going to get two pair because I always misplace things.
I'm picking them out tomorrow.

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: Boys Don't Make Passes at Girls Who Wear Glasses (10/10/2007 9:08:38 PM)

Well sounds as though you've decided.  I'm a contacts girl- been wearing glasses since I was 7, contacts since I was 12.

I always think of glasses as something that needs to be classic- something you don't notice at all because they fit and look so natural on you, but when they ARE noticed are always very nice and deliver compliments.  So no trends, no colors beyond bronze, steel, gold, or tortoise shell and I always prefer the thin wires.
