I love Holloween! Holloween is MY hollowday!! I like to dress up the house, get in costume, and scare the lil extortionist, make them work to get candy! Hell I scare the parents walking their demonoids.
This year I'll be the GHOST RIDER! Biker jacket, chaps, skull mask with flame dyed cheescloth on it skeletal hands, voice modulator to sound like a demon!! (did it last year and it was great!hmmm
maybe I'll try to get it in my profile! ;> Can't get th bike on the porch, too bad, I'll have to park it in the front yard, This year I'll need to dress it up, I'll put a fog machine behind it too. I'll put a fog machine up on the porch.
hmmm might need another machine, put webbing around my porch, spiders and bugs, ghoul mirror, crawling hand, moaning ghost, boom box playing holloween noises/music. damn months half over I better get started!
I gotta make tombstones, hmmm crosses( tattered wooden gravemarking kind). I've gotta get busy, busy, busy!

Halloween is a big thing at my family's house my dad decorates the yard like crazy.. skeletons.. tomstones fog machines black lights.. etc..he started at the beginning of sept. i've got to take my lil one out this year and she's gonna be a witch so i'll proably be dressed as one too... people come to our house every year just to see what's been added..

i love it. i consider halloween to take place between sundown and 11:30, then it changes into Samhain, and that's another holy day all together. but what's not to love about halloween? people that normally repress their inner selves open up and express what they really want(or wanted) to be when they grow up... there's candy... and we get to grow as people by facing our fears... some people may do bad stuff, but that's our world...

I have the same view of halloween as i do every other holiday. They are all just way to commercial. Its all about the spending and not the real reason behind these special days.

humbug is right. i drove thru town. one yard hard gosts so clutterred no lawn there.

i wear a mask every day= so it isnt that fun to dress up

Thank the lord (is that appropriate for halloween?) that it's never taken off in Australia. Three years ago a couple of fairies turned up on my doorstep expecting sweets. Release the hounds time!!!

I wish my nephew was old enough for it and lived here, then I can chaperone and take my percentage of the candy he snags.

So far thats the one pro I can think of in favor of little kids.
