Status: offline 		Good morning, sirs.  Please excuse the ignorance of a newbie, one who has not even begun training yet, but I have a question that's very important to me.  I have not seen it here recently, and hope I'm not being repetitive. 

I was just told by a dom I very much respect that doms do NOT give oral.  Is this true?  Receiving oral is one of my favorite things, not something I think I could do without for the rest of my life, and I AM seeking a 24/7-type relationship.  I very much respect him, but hope he's wrong.  I will anxiously be awaiting your responses and thank you in advance.

Status: offline 		Most of the Top-Types I have known excell at giving oral; a few I know should teach classes. It's like most other things in this lifestyle, it depends on those involved. 
 
Some [Top-Types] see giving oral as a less that Top-Type act.  For me, its an expression of a Top's authority to give or to without orgasm or foreplay as well as a way to send me over the moon uncontrollably.  I can hold off orgasm or cumming from most acts, but, from oral, I become defenseless and helpless.

i realize your question was directed toward the Doms but coming at it from the other side of the fence (i.e. sub side), i've only been in two D/s relationships but both Doms gave oral.  So, HE personally may not do so, and maybe SOME other Doms do not...but it's not a "rule of thumb" by any means.

Status: offline 		Perhaps HE doesn't believe Dom/me/Tops "give oral" but that's HIS feelings and does not reflect the entire Dom/me/Top universe.  No differently then stating all Dom/me/Tops like watersports....

To each their own.  Just as every relationship will be different from the next, each Dom/me/Top/bottom/sub/slave will be different.  :)

After all, if my pets are there for me to enjoy, then why not do so completely?

Some people associate any sort of "giving" to be a submissive act. I tend to disagree with those people, though how they feel about things is entirely their prerogative. Others view such things as performing oral sex to be taking something that they want. They enjoy it, they enjoy whatever responce it illicits in their bottom, and therefore, it's good times.

I wouldn't worry too much about what other people say is "right" or "wrong" if they are making generalities. To each their own, everyone has has their own standards for what is right for them. If their wants, likes and/or needs are compatible with yours, that's dandy. If not, that's okay too, nothing says that you have to play with them.

Status: offline 		Some do, some don't. Some don't like any sex, giving or receiving. Also, even those who don't like cunnilingus, I've observed, can enjoy inspiring pleasure and orgasms in women--the "forced orgasm" idea seems pretty strong among the het male doms I know.

Status: offline 		Oh my god--to be deprived of the sweetest nector on earth...  This dominant male considers cunnilingus to be as necessary as breathing.  In fact I believe that the genitalia of the female produces pheremones which is a communicative chemical which stimulates the male.  I feel it's dominant to straddle her, forcibly hold her legs apart--and feast.  I also enjoy having my head on a pillow and having her straddle my face.  It is very comfortable, and visually stimulating with her facing forward or backward.  I have had a partner who objected to this because it seemed to her that the position made her feel too dominant, and that it seemed submissive on my part.  My take: "rubbish."  Want to make that position more male dominant--just have the dominant keep a crop in one hand...  Queening is probably the origin of this sort of feelings as queening (where the female straddles the male's face, covering the mouth and nose so that he cannot breathe) is decidingly dominant.  But what I enjoy is the comfort of the position.

Status: offline 		I cannot tell you how much I appreciate all your responses, and I truly thank each and every one of you.  You've been very kind and thoughtful in your answers. I do believe in the old adage different strokes for different folks.  I respect that doms are going to have different expectations and rules.  I'm just extremely happy to learn there ARE doms who enjoy giving cunnilingus.  I'm very much looking forward to beginning my training and wish I had discovered this lifestyle a long time ago.

But personally when I look at things like oral sex, fucking etc which I enjoy isn't much of the Dom/sub aspect of me, it's just the I like to get of aspect.

Status: offline 		The dom who told you this cannot possibly know what every other dom across the globe does or doesn't. What he's really saying is that he has a hangup about it and instead of being honest he's claiming that the only reason he doesn't do it is because it's an "undomly" thing to do.

Which tells you; that he has hangups about giving his partner pleasure, that he's unable to be honest and admit to his hangup, that he's highly insecure or he would have been honest, and most of all it tells you that since this is something you want in a relationship you should cross him off your list.

The Man does it when he feels like it. And that's what it's all about, he does it when he decides to.

Status: offline 		At the risk of repeating myself, THANK YOU ALL, again for your responses.  They were the answers I was hoping for.  Whew!!!!

However, I must add one thing.  I've been chatting with him and exchanging emails with him for several days, and I have found him to be a very wonderful person, someone I've grown to like and respect.  From what I've read and learned so far, each dom is different and has his (or, in the case of a domme, her) own preferences.  I respect his preferences, and while it's a deal breaker for me, I intend to remain friends with him.  He's been very kind to me, and I think I can still learn from him.
