I can't forsee a situation where it would happen, but it would be very awkward and we'd probably avoid talking much about it. My parents would REALLY disapprove, considering that my BDSM activities do not generally involve my husband and sometimes involve several other people at once.

my dad told me he had come across my profile on an adult site. I didnt ask which one. I have heard him say to mom more than once"shes a grown woman, you think you can control her forever?" If he saw a lifestyle one, I would ask why he was there and if mom knew? My folks would not even bother turning over in their grave. In years past, they knew that I marched to the beat of a different drummer......I did not go over every note of the score with them (they had no need of it, they were not playing in my parade) nor did I ask them what they did when they heard 'In The Mood' on the radio, but I assume it was a cattle call to that generation. Honestly??? If my parents walked in on me, more than likely i'd walk straight up to my dad and say something like, "Dude!!! We burned Your ass!!! Damn that's some fine reincarnation crap for ya!!"

When I was in highschool I was doing a little self bondage when, surprise surprise, dad came home early. Back then I wasn't even aware of the lifestyle so it was pretty tame compared to what I do these days, but man...talk about mortifying. For both of us. I don't even remember what I said, it was that scarring lol. When he finally managed to say something about it, all he did was ask if I was doing anything dangerous lol. If some family were at a fetish party well, I'd be a bit wierded out but I think I'd manage.

My mom found my Bondage Life (and other similar ones) and threw them all away. Pissed me off more because of how much money I'd spent on them!! I used to tie up two of my neighbor girls (fully clothed, etc) all the time, right in front of mom. It was cops and robbers-esque for her, I'm sure. But they're gone now and there's only my sister. If she found out, I'm not entirely sure how she'd react. I might never get to see my niece and nephew again; or she might tell me how she's been a Domme for years and didn't know how to bring it up.

My parents know what I am into as well, and while not into it themselves they know not to just walk right in when I have my partner over. My father and mother have an amazing ability not to see what they dont want to. They hae wlaked in on things they shoudnt have, and their selective abilities have glossed over it. Mom has walked in mid-scene when I was on the phone with Angel... very intense phone scene before I moved down here... and she just tells me to tell him she said hi. NO clue what she was listening to. But if it looking "innapropriate" I'd get a lecture about it later. I got a lecture about kissing my vanill aexhusband infront of them, so I am pretty sure anything else would be treted the same. Thankfully they live far far away and in blissful ignorance. My brother, on the other hand, knows. Couldnt care less. He has walked in on things and his response was essentialy "Dammit, put a sock on the door or something next time! Give a guy a clue!" DV

well thankfully non of us here have to worry about that happening.my Lord and Mistress plan in advance with their family for visits and my family,one doesn't like to travel and the other won't travel alone so there won't be any unexpected trips to worry about. and secondly part joke and part serious i'm more concerened with knowning soon my mom will be asking the age old question to me of "are you sleeping with either of them".

my brother found out and had a big arguement with my Master, but like Master said to him, at the end of the day, i'm happy, so thats wotz inportant, surely, and shane kind of had to agree really... i think if my mum or dad found out, then i'd prolly be living with Master before sooner rather than later...... hmmmm, should i tell them or accidently let them find out or something then.... *giggles*

Why don't Y/you just bugger it and tell them that slavery has never been abolished and is widely practiced in all sorts of forms everywhere. Think of how many things W/we do in life without wanting to do... Its fascinating how W/we tend to pick on the BDSM slavery then the conventional slavery of everyday life that W/we have to face, ranging from a simple report that W/we may need to submit to the hard tasks of physical labor.
