I Dommed professional for a very short period of time but I never really considered that switching. I suppose it depends on the mindset. I would assume that switches enjoy both the dominant and the submissive roles. I never enjoyed being dominant and so I didnt think of it that way.. I thought of it as another way to serve anothers desires.

Master and i have switched roles for a scene from time to time, but i don't consider myself a switch. It's another way for us to enjoy one another, and not something i would be likely to share with anyone else.

When I first started in my community, I identified publically as a sub and a bottom because that was one drive I could clearly identify to myself and was comfortable being. I've since become more comfortable as a top, and have discovered a small but strong dom drive that I've become more comfortable with. So now I identify as a switch. I've met many people who have changed their public identification for various reasons. One of the biggest reasons is increased self-knowledge. Another is increased self-confidence. A smaller reason I've seen is a switch who believe sie must 'choose', and publically identifies however sie is playing/searching at that time. I tried topping. Mostly to see what it was like and if it did anything for me. No go. My former partners/owners were both switches. They encouraged me to try it, just to see.

all my life i've had a thing for bdsm. of course, i never really discovered what it was (and that there were tons of other people just like me) until i was 17 or 18. i just harboured fantasies in my mind for as long as i can remember. but i never really experienced any of it until i was 20, when i got myself involved in a switch relationship. it was a very vanilla thing, but with bdsm play in the bedroom. for awhile i identified myself as primarily top (but with some bottom fantasies), until i actually experienced the other side of things. it kind of dawned on me that i'd much, MUCH rather be the one tied up, slapped, used, abused, etc. etc. since then my submissive nature has kind of grown on me, to the point where vanilla relationships just seem so... foreign, for lack of a better word. now i can't even imagine topping anyone, it just isn't me. strange, i know, but true.

Hello Superman, a interesting thread to read im sure. When i first started this milarky, i didnt really know what the fuck i was, so i dabbled. I had a ball !!! The head space from topping is like a fairground ride rush for me. Drugs without the drugs. Very scary at times though! But id of loved someone to do that for me, just never found anyone. [:D] Then i did. I am now his submissive. Ive never found another that triggered this response in me, and i sure as hell wasnt about to watch my chance walk past. I jumped into it wholeheartedly very very quickly. My investment has paid dividends. So yeah, from the top to the bottom here. And lovin it.

I've never switched, but I had been considering bottoming to a particular gentleman, I adore, trust and have the utmost respect for. I'm not feeling the need to do it at this moment, but if the need should arise again, I may just follow through. I find some of the most interesting more intuned individuals are those that have the ability to see all kinds of possibilities. I know of some of the most powerful mentally and emotionally secure doms, masters that have bottomed and or subbed, at least once or more times for various reasons. They aren't switches, but ever so often an itch needs to be scratched or they volunteer to help out someone that may have mentored them through their journey to bocoming a masterful dominant. Rosa

Like a lot of people, I started out subbing, then decided to try the other end of the stick (or flogger). I enjoy both, to be honest. I tend to be much more of a disciplinarian than an enjoyer of same. So, I'd say I did switch from sub to mainly Dom. There are sometimes, though, when I like to bottom to a woman I'm attracted to, if she wants that. I do think there are a lot of people who like the sensation of pain, but are in no way bottoms or subs.

In "play time" I've switched for my Luvdragon, and enjoyed it quite a LOT. She is quite good at it! Relationship wise, I wouldn't consider it for a second. The idea of being submissive in a relationship is utterly foreign to me. I love the folks that are the opposite, because otherwise us Doms would be damned frustrated, but the thought of being submissive in a relationship doesn't evoke any feelings of satisfaction or gratification in me. --Anopheles

I have let a few of my past subs use my floggers on me after I showed them wher the on/off switch was but it was more like a massage and they were not topping me I still maintained complete control. Now I have seen many mostly men come into the 'lifestyle' saying they were Dom could never submit but within a few months had changed to sub when they relized thier egos could take it.
