I only use babytalk when talking to animals or in an age play scene.

I honestly haven't seen it occurring very often in social contexts, parties or munches or online so I'm not sure what the initial problem is?

I has a wonderfully profound effect in humiliation scenes-if used in a sardonic enough manner.[:D]

hell I still don't even know what it is....can someone clarify?

chellekitty -> RE: Baby Talk? (10/18/2007 11:37:52 PM)

only the OP can tell us what she's talking about....cause the rest of us can speculate but we have no idea...

There used to be a couple who were probably in their 50's or older who went to the gym I attend and they would sit in the spa and talk to eachother in awful babytalk, they would be discussing their plans for the night (loud enough for everyone else to hear) and she would pout and whine and say in an extremely annoying tone that she didn't widn't want to do dat and pwetty pwease could dey do something else ...you get the drift.  It served a purpose though in that they generally had the spa to themselves! Ugh

Himself will use baby talk to push my buttons during pain scenes and he loves to mock me.

"Aw, does that hurt the wittle giwl?" "Is the wittle giwl having twoubles." That sort of thing and it totally pushes my buttons and makes him laugh. It's the same sort of thing when he uses different words in their place. "Aw, does the slut need to cum?" "Does the slut have a sore pussy?" Himself and I may be weird, but most of our scenes have a constant dialogue going. One or the other of us is gabbing about something! ::laughs:: Baby talk, swearing, just plain nasty .. it's all yummy .. something is, generally, being said (or grunted!) unless we're into something that requires more focus or is really intense where speech would detract from the scene rather than enhance it.

Bottom line, if you don't like it, don't use it. Seems simple to me.

They're into it, you aren't. Be glad they've demonstrated lack of compatibility so soon. But just because you don't share their kink doesn't mean that only yours is okay and everybody else's is wrong.

Actually it doesnt delay it, but help it.  Baby talk is in such a pattern that it attracts their attention.  The cadence of it, the sing song affect, the high and low notes.  Baby talk is very good for them.  If you'd like research it.  (i do believe i heard what you said years ago and that was true for THEN, but as things change - its not true for now... lol)

I think what you are talking about here is something that, from what i understand, is instinctive for most mothers when talking to their very young ums. But what i think the OP is talking about is the intentional mispronunciation of words in order to sound like a young um whose enunciation skills haven't fully developed.

i could be wrong though. (shugs)[8|]
