Assuming you had to design a coat of arms for the BDSM community and you had to pick three different animal symbols to represent the roles of Dominant, Switch and Submissive, whiich animals would you pick to symbolise each role and why?

A baboon with a blue arse for a submissive....

I will have to intellectualise about the others and get back to you later.....

I can tell who the heraldry geeks are.

Heraldry geeks?  Who?  Where?

i like Dragons for Dom/mes, who's gonna say "no" to a dragon?
as a sub, i like the phoenix, 'cuz as long a the Dom/me is doing their job, the phoenix can rise again and again...
and just for fun how about mermaids/men, capricorns, or chrimiras for switches, part one thing, part another.

Why animals though?  Why not symbols or would that be too easy?  As someone pointed out, it's hard to define a particular animal species as dominant/sub/whatever.  Within each species, a pecking order would exist.  Even between species, you would get variations.

But it is interesting to read everyone's thoughts on the topic ^.^

Doms: the platypus. Scrappy, independant, and don't do well in captivity.
Subs: drone ants. They do what they are told, work tirelessly, very strong for their size.
Switches: housecats. They generally want attention but are often frustratingly independant.
