If you are a servant in my home, and allow random fruitcakes in to harrass me more than a few times, you get disposed of with said fruitcakes. He was on his designated show, conversing with his guests. If/when he asked for audience participation, than said fruitcake could have yelled anything he liked. Otherwise, he should have sat there with mout shut, protested outside, or leave when asked. M

So this was a pre planned disruption of this show? How is this in any way different from Rush hanging up on anyone who disagrees with him? Is anyone actually implying that anyone would care in the slightest if Rush had someone physically ejected if he broke into his studio and started shouting slogans while Rush was on the air?

I admit I'd likely find the whole funny and would take some shots at Rush because he is a drug addict who apparently needs Viagra to golf. Then again I did think Maher did over react and deserves more than a little fun be made of him as well.

What question? Whether major news networks will interpret the story through your distorted point of view that it was an "assault" based on politics? I think that's been answered quite clearly several times. Magic 8 ball says "highly fucking unlikely because no rational person sees it that way". It's an unruly audience member being thrown out of a show. It's a marginally interesting story because it was broadcast on live TV, there's no political angle to it at all.

It would make no difference if it was a conservative or liberal show, the "protester" wasn't arguing a conservative or liberal point, he was trying to get attention for a conspiracy theory that 99% of people from both sides of the ideological spectrum don't give a crap about. It would be like Rush hanging up on a caller who was ranting about aluminum siding being a way for the government to encourage abortions. No, nobody would see anything wrong with that except the most extremely crazy left-wing nutso.

There's healthy skepticism and then there's delusional paranoia. There's no forest to see except in your invented world of persecution.

I don't know where they enter into this, Sanity, but I recall many hushed news articles of protesters being bounced, barred and jailed at George Bush campaigns............

All these 'they' should coordinate policy or it will appear as tho The Grand Old Party is floundering.

      Ok, Obis. I don't write for that Jeff Foxworthy game show (not my problem, Google it) but I'll take a few minutes of my comfortably lazy Sunday afternoon and try to help you understand.

     This has nothing to do with 9/11 theories and whether they are being pushed by a particular party. This is about reactions to a specific set of facts, and how those reactions vary, depending upon the prejudices of the person hearing them. The facts here are that a talk show host cursed at a member of the audience, and then ran into the aisles to assist in his ejection from the studio. How the story is being presented, and how it might be presented if that host were a Conservative, instead of a Liberal/Progressive, is the topic at hand.

     Frankly, your eagerness to insist that there is nothing to talk about here, while wailing with the bandwagon about a Limbaugh comment dragged far out of context, is pretty fucking funny. Where is your interest in the facts on that thread?

     And the only thing I'm married to is preacher's daughter who likes to play hard.

personally I could care less who he threw out. If the guy wants to protest outside teh studio, I could give a flip. I personally don't care who is doing the show, no one should come into the middle of it and intentionally disrupt it. I would feel the same if it was Rush or the hate queen. They should be able to have the disturbance removed from their show.
