Why in the world would an instructor kick someone out for dressing like that? Then again, I'm an easy going instructor and well won't say much more to keep from getting in trouble about what has gone on during and after a few of my classes.

First of all, when my admin registers them, they are told that they will be spending some time on the floor, and to dress appropriately. When they come in and pay for the class, they are given a sheet that says the same thing, along with other information. When I say "Ok, lets push the tables to the wall, and find some floor space." they protest, and say they didnt know they had to. When I point out they got the info twice, and they get defensive I boot them out. I want to see that they can actually perform the skills. I teach to home care aids and certified nursing assistants. I expect them to actually be able to do what they came to class to do, and have a medium of professionalism. Thats why.

Now I have had many people come who have knee problems, back problems, heavily pregnant, whatever. I will happily make accomdations for them.

I agree that basics of cpr and first aid knowledge is a good idea.

Better yet, actually ASK your bottom about any medical issues, and be COMPETENT enough in HOW you play NOT to cause serious injuries!

I have a medium sized military ALICE pack in my car. It is a fairly complete first aid kit, everything rotated every 6 months. I have an identical in my house.

First Aid should be a part of anyone's planning.

First Aid would be useful training to have no matter if one is sadist, Top, sub, bottom or just a basic Mainstream Vanilla sort of person. I personally been trained in First Aid for about 15 years or so

Long time playing paintball...........17 years worth, with 3 years in another sport. So I've seen a bunch of stuff.

When I was a senior instructor for the Red Cross (years ago), I failed more people in the CPR practical work due to the stepping over the casualty. I have seen this happen at a real muti vehical accident in winter and the person involved slipped and went knee down into the patient's chest driving fractured ribs into the lungs.
