ORIGINAL: wisteriaV Some people are fortunate to stay at home as well as work from home. For example; psychologists, midwives, therapists, accountants, day care providers, ect..So yea the possibility is there! *slight threadjack* I am a midwife and that is exactly why I want to have a Stay At Home Sub...eventually. It's always mentioned early in negotiations/getting to know one another. If I have to be away from the house for 2 or 3 days, I need to know that my (eventual) UMs caregiver knows who hates peanut butter and who has to be at soccer by 4pm. I do not want to have to think about the details when I am gone...so I can focus on my work, to which I am extremely committed. Also; I am constantly on-call. If I have to leave the house at 4am, I need to know the rhythm of the home will be undisturbed. Lastly; and most importantly, I know that I would not have the patience and tolerence to be my (eventual) UMs primary caregiver. I would go crazy and it would not be fair to them. I'm waaay too much of a perfectionist...I'll be leaving the snotty noses to my SAHS. ---------- To the OP: Of course, that's just my preference...I don't think it's beneath me or innapropriate to be a SAHD. ----- Edited b/c apparently the 'at' symbol is verboten.
