I know few, if anyone, here take the concept of a Pro male Dom for a submissive woman seriously.  I'm going to be stubborn anyways, and here's why:

I've heard in this thread that women won't pay for it, that they would prefer an emotional connection that cash cannot substitute, and that male Doms may not accept money for what they offer.  It's not a big issue, but I do take issue with the idea that no woman had ever paid for sex in this world.  Same for the emotional connection steerotype; not all women want an emotional connection, and it's inferred that men don't seek one themselves.  So, I'm hijacking to see if I can get a response to the question niggling in the back of my head:

Why would a straight submissive woman not pay a skilled Dominant male for sex?  I specfiy straight to avoid the quick "if she's bi she can go for a Domme" answer.  I threw in skilled because I suspect there are submissive women out there who have tried to instigate kink sex with a non-kink partner to disastrous results - and again, there is an underlying, if unintended, inference that only a woman Dominant will get it right.

I'm not dissing the generalization, it's there for a reason - I agree the odds of it are slim.  I also wonder how many submissive women making these posts would prefer a skilled partner for pay than a free partner who is lousy.

The best way for a Pro Male Dom to make some cash is to do shows, lessons, and lectures at BDSM events. He can also sell products, books, etc... He can charge BDSM clubs and the host of events for demonstrations. The demonstrations will draw in a few clients here and there but the shows are what will bring in the most cash.

I don't doubt there are women that would do it, or that maybe new time subs should consider trying it to get a feel for what they want, much like men do with pro Dommes and it's certainly possible the male Dom could get male customers.  However, given the difference in the way men and women in general approach sex and emotion I just think it would be an uphill occupation for a male.  Maybe I'm wrong.  I wouldn't pay personally, that doesn't mean others shouldn't or wouldn't.

*shrug* It all sounds pretty close to prostitution.

That matters....why?

Hi 20,

Essentially, that's what most women think.  "There are plenty of men willing to do it for free."  However, I've known no few women frustrated that they can't find one.  The problem is that men are more used to (and thus more willing) to open their wallets for sexual and emotion based satisfaction.  It's safe to say that if I were to work as a professional dominant, there would be no sex involved.  It is because the service is emotion/relationship based, it's unlikely that a woman would feel she 'should' pay for it.  In fact, it's not unlike the reason many men don't pay for such services; it suggests that they aren't capable of finding a suitable partner based on their own merit.
