Hey HFM, When I very first moved south way back.......

in 1975....

I was not a grits lover, nor was I a biscuits & gravy kinda gal either...

However after moving to FL from AL and TX I had an ex bf who cooked for me and he mixed some some of the best southern food and I grew to love grits, especially mixed in with eggs over easy, yummmm!

I learned to love biscuits & gravy and southern/country fried steak w/ white gravy while in TX.

Boiled peanuts took a little longer though, I had a best friend who got me to try some (again) several years ago since living in FL and now I love cajun boiled peanuts, yummmmmmmmmmm!

im gettin home sick now. every year my moms side of the family got together and made apple butter. its been ages since i have been around that(sort of a good thing) the cool thing is my roomates(or wife as some call her) (she really is just a friend) family has invited me to join in their yearly apple butter making tradition. i cant wait. we have a big jar of it in the fridge now, that ive eaten half of.
