And yeah, Buffalo is really really cold in the winter, and worse, it's windy. But you wouldn't need to go outside, just watch the pretty cold frozen stuff out the windows. There's plenty to do inside. We're thinking about fireplaces. Of course there's also the lake, and some local outdoor attractions for the complete masochist (you know, the one who likes to risk freezing vital bits off in the winter by traipsing around outside...). We had the idea of the Caribbean, but that is WAY too far out of the way for most of the American BDSM community, and just the airfare alone would probably be more than anyone would want to spend. So we scrapped that.
For sambamanslilgirl and others who value their privacy, that's cool. =] I should mention that you wouldn't need to play with an audience, at all - if any formal play took place. There would be playrooms, yes, and for me, I'd be a kid in a candy store - but there would also be the more important part, which is the suites and private spaces for you to just chill and be alone, or alone together. The idea is for the resort to be a place to just get away from the world at large and be comfortable knowing you're in a by-definition kink- and "alternative-sexuality"-friendly place. I understood the way you meant 'value our privacy' to be that you'd prefer to keep your relationship perhaps not "to yourselves" but certainly in your own private domain, and that's cool, and thank you for the candid reply.
