I have been a slave off and on for the last 20 years.  I love being a slave to men but I am really struggling to find a real Master to take part-time or full-time ownership of me.  Part of it is because I live in Iowa I am sure.  Any advice on how to attract a true Master.

I also love to serve groups but cannot find any success in that area either.

Have you tried to find someone at munches?  I'm not sure how far you live from a city, but there appears to be groups in most of Iowa's larger cities.

Get out into your local community. Get out into your national community. Be prepared to move.

Here's the round of Master/slave events on a national level.
Southwest Leather Conference January, Phoenix
South Plains Leatherfest February, Dallas
Southeast Leatherfest June, Atlanta
Master/slave Conference July, DC
Great Lakes Leather Alliance Aug, Indianapolis

There's also one in the Northwest that's new, but I don't have info.

Master Fire

You've got a choice to remain at status quo or go find what you're looking for. Get out of Iowa and move to a larger, more open, more accepting place. Good luck.

Ummm... what does living in Iowa have to do with anything?

Not sure what munches are.

A munch is like a lunch meeting, but with a twist in that those who attend are Doms/Masters and submissives/slaves and they usually meet in a restaurant. Please note that depending where they meet, no fetish wear is allowed in some places, but also keep in mind that it is a good start in meeting other lifestylers.  So as some have said, get out and meet them! Good luck to you!

you don't have to be involved in the community or scene to be a slave for 20 years or any other amount of time....

edited to add: i was a slave long before i attended a munch...i found them helpful in finding other like minded people without quite so much BS...but it is still quite possible to engage in power exchange relationships your entire life without ever attending a munch...

I'd like to say that looking for a "true" master is a problem. You mean the master for YOU. I have no idea of geographical problems where you are, but it sounds like the other posters do, so think about what they said very seriously.

I'd also add a whole lot more to your profile. Just saying you want to be used tells him nothing about what you have to offer and, to be honest, most subs/slaves put that same sentence. I know your interest list is extensive, but there isn't anything on there to catch a man's eye or tell him anything about who you are. If you are just looking for sexual slavery, say so. If you want more, tell him.

Good luck!!

To find your local groups and munches, go to www.drkdesyre.com

Click on "Here"
Click on "Meeting People"
Click on "Organizations"
Then click on your state, in this case Iowa.  You'll find a list of groups, munches, and links to your local scene.

Ahem... not all sailors on submarines form couples.  There are threesomes ya know!

After years on subs, couldn't let that comment lie.

I live in the 'Bible Belt' of California an I have found past partners in the area; I don't attend ANY lifestyle events for my own reasons, an I have found partners from here and other sites over the last few years.  Even MJ an I met here; we may have parted ways as Master and slave, but, we are still friends and neither of us attend lifestyle events or munches. For me, I go back over my checklist and look at things and contact people.  Top-types have never seemed to think I was too forward by adding them to my favorties or by contcting them first.  Take the first step and contact someone you might be interested in first.

Read my post again. You said it yourself. You were a slave long before you ever attended a munch. Do you suppose in 20 years, you one might have heard about a "munch?"

SF is so cliche. There's many places (usually larger cities) that'd work. South Beach, FL; parts of VT; NYC of course; etc etc
