I don't know if Seinfeld is an asshole or not, but I didn't see much wrong on that clip. Just his way of goofing on King, I think.

I never thought he was funny to begin with.  What 75 million losers wanted to watch 4 losers every week?

There's nothing wrong with being proud of your work.

Ask King if he left Radio or if he was fired/laid off. After all, there where more than a few shows that King did on Flordia radio where he was drunk and or hung over.

Ask Dan Blather if he retired or if CBS asked him to leave. His departure soon after the 2004 elections raises an eye brow.

Because of pride, I think Larry and Dan would both give a similar repsonse that Jerry did. 

I can't wait to see George Lopez on Larry King. Not only was his show canned, it was replaced with Cave Man.

At any rate, there's nothing wrong with standing up and defending yourself. Sometimes you have to be an asshole to do it and so be it. There's nothing wrong with having a little pride. It's good to see that someone had the balls to stand up to King on his on turf. Who would have thought it would be a comedian to be the one? Then again, this could have been an arranged stunt to increase ratings for King and publicity for Sienfield.

It is simply a case of artistic ego in action...Personally I was never a big fan of the show, nor even a fan of Seinfeld..but if you think about it..He did give up quite a good run..maybe prematurely?..because frankly I have not seen Seinfeld do much since then...Tempting

Count me among the ones who never got what was so funny there...  I probably saw a grand total of 4episodes.  
And yes I do think he was being an asshole to Larry king, though shouldn't that man retire and go travel the world for godssakes!  He looks 110years old already.   M

As a general rule, there are 2 reasons a show gets cancelled... poor ratings, or the popularity of the stars hits a level where the money they demand outweighs the potential profit margin.

Wonder which one was the case with Seinfeld?

There`s other reasons.The show ran it`s run.Time to move on.The writers "jumped the shark",as they did w/ "Happydays".New ideas and projects,and the freedom to pursue them.Kids/family.Etc.

The whole 'jumped the shark' label came about because TV doesn't take off shows that have run out of ideas.
