If properly presented, I would happily eat either as both may be haute cuisine in a culture other than our own. Maggot cheese is definitely on my list of "must try if I can possibly get hold of it", and making soup of it sounds promising. Raw slugs (of the sea variety) I have already enjoyed courtesy of ethnic Chinese cuisine. Yum. Send both of them right over, with a side order of durian, if you find a good chef who can make them properly.
