Yes.

That is what the block feature is for.  Usually, I will get over it, but sometimes can rub me the wrong way.  I try to stay off the net when I get that way, but unfortunatly, I show up.  lol

Well, I love CollarME, I have been here going on 4 years.
I will NOT let mean, nasty and spiteful people run me off.

I ain't going nowhere, and I agree the block feature is great.
I am at the point, if I really don't like you, I ignore almost everything you write.
I can't stop you from posting, but I can stop myself from reading or responding to you.

I will hold a grudge until Hell freezes over. I don't care if it's online or not. There's still a real person who's typing the words and we are more than the sum of our pixals, so fuck with me online, consider that you've fucked with me period, no qualifiers. I'm Sicilian. That's just the way it is with me. Online, I am limited in my actions and reactions so the best I can do is to ignore you .. in that way, you have ceased to exist in my cyber world just as you would never exist in my real world. In other words, to me, you're dead.

Celeste

I don't hold grudges.  I do form opinions based on a person's choice of words and chosen demeanor.  I allow myself room to be wrong, and I am typically willing to reconsider my opinion of someone over time, as I understand that people evolve and their views and levels of consideration may change.  But if I'm repeatedly unimpressed with the way someone presents him/herself, I'm likely to not think much of his/her opinion.

Why, why, why do people eat or drink while reading threads?! Haven't we all had to clean off our monitors way too many times?

I would not hold a grudge...there are so many different types here. Some I love to read their replies, they are intelligently written, thought provoking, some are sincere and helpful, some are misguided, some are snarky and rude, some are so stupid I could stick pins in my eyes after reading them, some are hot as hell to read. Some posters have taught me about myself, about new ways of thought, some make me roll my eyes. Some posters make me sad, some make me envious, some make me mad, some make me laugh hysterically and spit out my diet peach snapple. Some are so predictable, they bore me, which to me is the worst offense of all. I would rather be annoyed than bored with you.

But it IS the internet, so grudges are too ephemeral for a place like this. All in all, it is entertainment and knowledge.

This thread's a disgrace.  It's clearly an insult aimed in my direction, every word so carefully chosen to implicate me as some sort of freaking grudge freak.  Well, you know what?  Screw you.  For a man who wears a skirt, I certainly thought you'd be more tactful.

From the guy who certainly doesn't hold grudges on threads,

No way CuriousLord…. You are much too sharp for such a shallow dig…anyway I usually like what you have to say…. Said gracefully as I rearrange my suckup skirt.

Bah.  I want to be mad at you, but that skirt's just too...
..excuse me, a cold shower awaits.

Totally agreed.  I don't hold grudges here over the internet or in real life.  One good night's sleep and I'm over it, whatever it is.  However, I don't ever forget someone's assholish behavior, either.  I take pride in being able to accept someone else's opinion as long as they are willing to accept mine.  However much we may disagree, they should be willing to grant that I have the right to my way.  Whenever someone refuses to do that, it shows me their serious lack of respect and/or intelligence.

The funniest thing of all is to be called names by someone who is a huge jerk.  I vividly remember being called "cuntish" by one of the biggest cunts to ever haunt Collarme's hallowed halls.  Guess she must've been looking in the mirror when she was thinking "cunt."  Anyway, I stopped debating her because she was absolutely incapable or unwilling to give an inch.  She saw arguments that weren't there and refused to acknowledge I could have a point or a right to my own ways/choices.  I even sent her a nice e-mail telling her that I wasn't going to argue with her anymore.  I took the high road when she never had.  Hold a grudge?  Nah.  Not gonna let someone of that ilk have that much power over me as LaT said.............luci

Sticks and stones my break my bones but words will never hurt me.

I've been called stupid, idiot, bastard, clueless, heartless, cruel, and have recently been dubed a "disgusting pos who believes that the fault of a rape falls upon the victim"

Don't ask me where it all comes from. Some people just get a little carried away with there point of view and feel the need be a Rosie O'Donnald on anyone who disagrees with them.

I bolded the part I thought was most important.  Once I came to forgive the person who was most evil and vile to me in life, I found inner peace like I've never experienced it.  Anger, resentment, grudges...they all get in the way of goodness.  I am finally anger-free and pain-free.  It's the best place I've ever been.

So to get mad over something on a discussion board?  Bah!

IMHO, holding a grudge is not the same as being mad.

I can hold a grudge, and be happy and enjoy my life.
It is a misnomer to believe you have to be angry because
you don't care for someone.

No-one likes everyone, no matter what you say.
Disliking people does not mean you are angry.

We have a right to hold grudges and NOT like people and we have a right
to NOT hold grudges.
To each their own.

<fast reply>

I've caught myself simmering over things I've spreads and noodling all day over a reply. That's usually when I think it's time for a wee collarme sabbatical.

Nope.

Sometimes, after some flames, I end up really respecting someone,or reconsidering my feelings.

Off list hate mail is entertaining, and the fan mail is heart warming.

I aint never leaving this place, and the funny thing is, I have about 5-10 people on here I don't care for.

But, the funny thing is, it is the same old people.
The list has not changed in about 6 months, and I rarely add anyone new.
It's the same old people I did not like last year, and will not like next year, and I can basically ignore them.
