MissSCD -> RE: Do you hold a grudge over posts? (11/7/2007 8:58:37 PM)

To the OP:

I took a lot of people I had on my block list off because they were there on a bad day.  I removed Moderator 11 and Curious Lord.
LOL

Regards, MissSCD

Still dying laughing.

There are four that will probably stay on forever.  They know who they are, but the list is clean now.

The Mod does a good job of keeping things civil.I think that goes a long way towards people`s feelings not getting to bashed up.

MzMia -> RE: Do you hold a grudge over posts? (11/7/2007 9:02:03 PM)

I try to live my life as authentically as possible.

I would be lying to myself, everyone here and GOD if I did not admit there

are people here I don't like, I will never like, and all is wonderful in my world.

PEACE

IMHO, holding a grudge is not the same as being mad.

I can hold a grudge, and be happy and enjoy my life.
It is a misnomer to believe you have to be angry because
you don't care for someone.

No-one likes everyone, no matter what you say.
Disliking people does not mean you are angry.

We have a right to hold grudges and NOT like people and we have a right
to NOT hold grudges.
To each their own.

Definitions of grudge:

*Persistant feeling of ill will or resentment resulting from a past injury (Oxford)

*Feeling of deep seated resentment or ill will (Merriam-Webster)

*Strong feeling of anger and dislike for a person you feel has treated you badly, often which lasts for a long time (Cambridge)

Disliking someone is not holding a grudge.  Disliking someone is simply disliking them, and I agree - it does not need to include anger.  A grudge contain feelings of anger and resentment.

I continue to feel that harboring anger and resentment ends up blocking good things that come into one's life.   I've not made any comment about having a right to be angry or not, so I'm not sure why you commented that to me.  I do believe what you said, however, that it is a misnomer to believe you have to be angry because you don't care for someone.  That was pretty much my point - that anger isn't healthy.

MzMia -> RE: Do you hold a grudge over posts? (11/7/2007 9:15:54 PM)

I am speaking up for those of us, that do hold grudges and don't feel bad about it.
We all are entitled to our points of view, but I am not going to feel bad about holding
my grudges.[sm=mrpuffy.gif]

^5 to all the other grievance collectors and people that hold grudges, we have a right to live!
I like you, girlie.

Life is wonderful.

Can you really block Mod 11?  I am sure Eleven would figure a way around it in my case, probably pose as Mod Ten or something.

I tried to block myself once, but Mod 11 told me to knock it off.

MRandme -> RE: Do you hold a grudge over posts? (11/8/2007 5:04:37 AM)

Life is too short to hold grudges. And i am prone to my own bad days, too.

i'll use this space to apologize to anyone i offended over the weekend. i was having an emotionally  hard time and took some things that were said to me more personally than i would have otherwise. (Note to self: don't grieve and post.)

The way i see it, holding grudges is like giving someone space in my head. i can't afford to keep negative emotions active like that.

juliaoceania -> RE: Do you hold a grudge over posts? (11/8/2007 6:36:00 AM)

I do not hold a grudge toward people in the sense that they impact my thoughts when I step away from my computer. I try to look at what I like about life, not what I do not like about life. That being said, there are some people I avoid on the forums because I find interacting with them to be highly negative. There have been some posts that I have found to be so highly insulting and of a personal nature that I decided that person is someone that I would not give my energy to by posting to them. There are only two people that have crossed that line, and while I do not have them blocked, I do not engage them in discourse either. There are a bevvy of other posters that I pass by because their energy is bad, and I have gotten to this place in life, if it does not feel right do something else.

So in a nutshell, I do not hold grudges per se, but I do respect myself enough not to talk to extremely disrespectful people

spankmepink11 -> RE: Do you hold a grudge over posts? (11/8/2007 6:55:25 AM)

I can't say that i would hold a grudge over a post , but as others have said, peoples posts do allow me to form opinions about them, some good, some bad, and some who consistantly make me roll my eyes.   All in all, i usually i don't  allow anyone online to affect me in a negative way.  ( i say usually because i have been compelled to bite on ocasion)

KDSUB IS A MAN!!!!????? [sm=hair.gif]

Are you telling me that all this time ... ALL THIS TIME!... whenever I have looked at your picture, thinking to myself "gee, I sure would like to flip up that short skirt and see the goods underneath," that I wouldn’t be greeted with a bearded clam but would find a three piece set instead?

HOLY MOTHER FUCKING SHIT! YOU FOOLED ME PAL!

Your blatant dishonesty threatens my sexuality and that pisses me off. You want a grudge?!!! Contrary to my politically correct, feel good, sweetness and light "I don’t hold grudges" bullshit from earlier it will be easy to hold a grudge about this for a long time.

No, not really. But if this had happened in real life I couldn’t guarantee that I wouldn’t pull a Danny Bonaduce on ya – specially if I had been snorting down some Yukon Jack.

I have to admit, however, that I like the way the skirt matches the quilt.

(wanders away mumbling about the need to check people’s profiles more often)

kdsub -> RE: Do you hold a grudge over posts? (11/8/2007 8:44:38 AM)

Yes Marc2b...I am a man… and to a fault aggressive at times... it is rather curious how I find myself with that profile. I certainly don’t understand it. [image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m24.gif[/image]

subtee -> RE: Do you hold a grudge over posts? (11/8/2007 8:49:44 AM)

Yes I am holding a grudge and am seriously bitter about being left on the floor in the "How soon after she contacts me should I collar her thread."

Where are all the damn rescue da damsel-in-distress Doms?

LaTigresse -> RE: Do you hold a grudge over posts? (11/8/2007 12:07:29 PM)

Okay subtee........consider thineself collared! Now, get down on the floor so I can do wicked things to you. See, collared AND on the floor.

And I still can't hold a grudge.....too much negative energy in that bit of fluff.

subtee -> RE: Do you hold a grudge over posts? (11/8/2007 1:41:57 PM)

Yay! Grudge gone, bitterness banished, considering herself collared. WOOT!!

~lowers herself to the floor~...by the way, do you still have those cocks?

LaTigresse -> RE: Do you hold a grudge over posts? (11/8/2007 3:17:47 PM)

As in chickens? They disappeared, thank you coyotes.

No to the grudge holding. There are some here that are dipshits, but even they post something right, once in a great while.

lol I love Level and ditto.  Sexism, racism...all the ism's piss me off, but carry a grudge? no, I just consider the person posting is a twit and move on.

ELUSIVE1 -> RE: Do you hold a grudge over posts? (11/8/2007 4:12:27 PM)

I never hold a grudge--here or in real life---and I certainly don't take the net overly serious--I do remember those that digress to name-calling and tend to dismiss anything they write in the future though

bipolarber -> RE: Do you hold a grudge over posts? (11/8/2007 5:02:43 PM)

I'm not entirely sure, but I think Domiguy was put on "vacation" by the mods. I say this because he and I were making some posts on certain  pulp novel inspired part of Collar me, and I got a stern warning out of it... he might have been a lot closer to the edge.

Just more proof to me that the folks who inhabit that part of the site have no sense of humor. (Dullards of the first order, IMHO)

You forgot slack… you always take up the slack before squeezing the trigger.
