ORIGINAL: thetammyjo I rewatched this movie last night, "Unleashed" with Jet Li, and I think that Danny, Jet Li's character, is a submissive though probably more by circumstance than nature though I think he never loses those qualities I see as some parts of a good slave -- loyalty to those who have earned it, taking care of others even at the risk to your self, and the ability to think on your feet. How was that? i saw a trailer and thought it might have some interesting perspective D/s wise. I like it, not so much for the action sequences though there are a lot of them. For me, I like it mostly because we see a man whose been beatened down and then we see him built back up. I can identify as a good dominant with those who build up him knowing that he may never be "normal" but willing to take him for what he is and use his loyalty in a beneficial way for everyone. It's part of my "savior fantasy" that I have to deal with in my life. Aaah, ok, I can see that. The whole thing about Danny being broken down by a guy who is the dictionary definition of a sadist, though...That lowers it's appeal as a metaphor for me. Still a good movie, though.
