azjojoba -> How to stop bruises? (11/8/2007 2:09:42 PM)

I met a very nice mistress, and she really enjoyed giving me OTK spankings. We both want to do it again.

The problem is that her spanking left me some bad bruises. She felt sort of bad about it, and so did I because I don't want to have big ugly bruises on my butt.

She used both her hand and a heavy hairbrush.

Can any of you give us some advice on how to enjoy spanking without severe bruising? Perhaps things she can do different, and perhaps things I can do before and after to improve the situation?

There is no way, to my knowledge, of preventing bruises. Other than the obvious, which would be to avoid activities that result in bruises. If you are a person who easily bruises, there may be some medical reasons that are underlying that you could ask your doctor about. To help with bruising after the fact, take Arnica Montana tablets and apply Arnica Montana cream (found in health food stores). It works wonders.

LOL, get a down pillow and ducttape it to your ass before she starts.  Otherwise you could put on arnica or whatever little potions are all out there, and massage to break the bruise quicker, but by god -----you will bruise unless you are dead, and you don't want that do you?

Live with it, and look in the mirror......remind yourself, change the attitude. cause you can't avoid the bruise, only mitigate it.

Potasium... specifically, eating some banannas will help cause the bruises to fade. Also, vitamin D and E.

You can load up beforehand, but I don't think it will help prevent them. One thing you might avoid, stay away from asperin for several days before playing, if you can. It's an anticoagulant, and will cause the bruising to become worse. (You weren't taking asperin before this scene you had the bruising with, were you?) That's part of the reason asperin is reccommended for preventing heart attacks...

Dammit Ron, why have you been withholding this little tidbit of wisdom for so long??? I didn't even know this was allowable. Oh my, ass beatings are going to be sooooooo much easier to take from now on!

A 1.5-2 oz. infusion of arnica flowers (Arnica montana, since the Genus is capitalized and the species is lower-cased) blended with comfrey (Symphytum officinale), allowed to cool, then poured into a 24-24.5 oz bottle of whatever your favorite hand lotion is (remember to take about 3 oz of lotion out before pouring the 2 oz of infusion into the bottle), shaken vigorously to mix it all together, can work wonders on bruises, greatly reducing the time for bruises to heal. Arnica is not safe to ingest since studies have confirmed cardiac toxicity from arnica ingestion, though application to the skin is not contraindicated. However, there have been reports of sensitivity when exposed to the sun for prolonged periods.

Additionally, a regiment of eating fresh pineapple 3 x per day, starting a few days before scening will help.

MsSophie -> RE: How to stop bruises? (11/8/2007 2:31:24 PM)

It's probably the heavy brush which causes the bruising, a hand isn't as likely to. She could give you hand spanking only, and you could see how that works.

Good luck!

Kind of reminds me of that OLD joke... "Doctor, my arm hurts when I do "this"...... Doctor's reply... "Stop doing that."

If you enjoyed the spanking that led to the bruises and want to do it again, well the likelihood is you are going to have the bruising again!
Either ease up on the spanking or learn to love those bruises. I personally adore them and think they are really pretty [:D]

Really, beyond making sure you're as healthy as you can be, there's nothing you can do if you're both wanting to stay at the same intensity.  You may want to try some longer but lighter play if you're still wanting the experience of spanking and are willing to drop the heaviness with which she's striking.  Have her adjust her spanks downward in strength as she sees your tissue reacting so as to stay below the level that would cause broken blood vessels.

But, say type of play but less bruising?  Nope, not really possible in most cases.

Or just buy some arnica oil or gel. Some people can't cook.

I can't think of anything to stop them from happening but arnica does work well for helping them along quickly although like a few others here, I tend to love marks and want them to stay as long as possible.

Good luck to you.

i'm with the "want marks" group...have even considered taking aspirin before we go out to play so that i would mark (but Daddy has gotten heavier handed so i am buising some, though he did tell me the other day that i am just not a marker...and there i was all happy with my marks *Hmmph* i guess in comparison they weren't much)

ADomDoc -> RE: How to stop bruises? (11/8/2007 5:13:24 PM)

cherry ... be careful about taking ASA to increase your bruising.  I went skiing last year & was taking ASA to prevent thrombus formation in my legs on the plane flight and daily for the cardiovascular health.  On my 1st day I fell & planted my butt on a chunk of ice & by that evening I was shocky w/ a loss of 1 unit of blood (about 350cc) into a hematoma that took 6 weeks to clear up.  You ARE right, it'll increase your bruising, but be careful what you ask for!

Kneed the skin slightly before spanking, light taps etc - its meant to help stop bruising -don't know if it will help because you wouldn't know what the bruising would have looked like without that but, nice feeling anyway.... although aren't bruises wonderful reminders!

Actually I was taking rather large doses of aspirin for a knee injury. That may have been the reason. Now that I'm off the aspirin perhaps we wouldn't have the bruising problem.

PhoenixRed -> RE: How to stop bruises? (11/8/2007 5:27:32 PM)

Since nobody's mentioned it yet...Tiger Balm.  I accumulated a lot of bruises when I was into kickboxing.  Also got a lot of funny looks at work because of that, especially when both my forearms were bruised and I couldn't always hide it.  If you know you're going to get a bruise (as you do), before you go to sleep apply Tiger Balm to the area. Half the time you won't get one at all.  For bruises starting to already form, it really decreases the time you'll have them and how "colorful" they can get. Just remember, Tiger Balm does have clove oil and menthol.  Don't use it on broken skin (cuts), abraded skin or let it near mucous membranes.  You will regret it.  Happy spanking!
