deadscout -> What are the odds of finding love? (11/12/2007 8:49:56 PM)

It seems as a switch, I occupy a relativly rare place. It seems far removed from what is considered the average male, especially when you consider how many people are not into BDSM much less a switch. I'm wondering what the odds are of finding love or if I should just give up on it.

Yes.

Just be patient and keep your eyes open. Attend local events and dont let yourself become jaded. That is really all that you can do. I have been looking for six years now and still havent found my Alpha Queen but I have to keep positive that she is out there. So just be patient, enjoy life and keep your eyes open.

Don't give up on it but maybe don't stress over it... it is often when people stop worrying about finding something that they do as they are more relaxed.

I'm with Oumae on this one.  Just have fun with things and try not to stress.  I believe there is someone out there for each of us, whether dominant, submissive, or switch.  There is a time when the whole thing seems to daunting a task.  I assure you, the one for you is out there.  Patience and resilience are two very important qualities, in my opinion.

I live in Louisiana and Mistress lives in West Virginia.  I love this girl more than anything in this world.  I can't see myself with anyone else but Her.  When the time is right, things will happen.  Just have faith.  Go to munches, events, gatherings...just put yourself out there.  But be relaxed and be yourself.

Good luck! [sm=hello.gif]

Yes. You can find love.

If online is the place you choose to meet a lover, you do need to focus your profile.

Define what you think you desire.

It is acceptable if you find your interest is other than you first thought. But, you need to focus.

DiannaVesta -> RE: What are the odds of finding love? (11/13/2007 6:21:06 AM)

Stay focused on finding someone that is compatiable. Maybe another switch or a mistress that is ok with this. I personally am not into switch males unless I teach them to switch and dominate my other sissies and males.

Thanks for all the advice. I 'll just keep looking.

Your location could be part of the problem, but I doubt it.  If you were here, I would certainly be interested in sitting down and talking to you.  Good luck out there.

I am not a Mistress, but felt compelled to reply anyway. I do not think you can ask this question. It is too much like asking, what are the odds that I will win the lottery or that I will someday walk on the moon.

You cannot ask for love; it is not something you can buy or seek out; it is found. And no one can give you odds on it or they are just lying or trying to appease you.

It does not matter what you write in your profile either; you can write I am looking for love a billion times and it will not matter unless you are lucky enough and put yourself out there enough, to find it.

This applies whether you are a switch, Dom, sub, slave, vanilla, blue, green, purple, whatever.

Not enough people put luck in there as a big part of finding love; I have seen it a million times, people who walked into a supermarket and met their husband, a woman I know never once answered a personal ad at age 54 and had been celibate for 9 years. She just married her soulmate.

Others search forever.

There is no answer unless this was just a philosophical question. Oh, I am not being negative, just providing another realistic viewpoint.

Being a switch doesn't have anything to do with it.

It's just a completely worthless endeavor.

GentleLee -> RE: What are the odds of finding love? (11/13/2007 10:35:35 AM)

I don't think it's impossible to find love. I had totally given up on love myself, never having been genuinly in love in my life. Adoration and amorous feelings are realatively easy to "make" in your mind. Then, by chance, I stumbled across love in the place I least expected it.
Don't lose heart. Everything is possible and always happens when you're just about ready to give up.

deadscout,
Perhaps it is your location as I know many in My neck of the woods are Switches .But I wouldn't advise giving up on love,no matter where you are located or your position in this wickedly wonderful realm of life called BDSM. No matter the position and no matter how long you look there is one ( or more ) out there that will fit you to a T
Joy~ spoken from the heart as it was over seven years in this lifestyle untill I found love with the proper boy for Me

Hello

How nice of you to notice. It's a pleasure to meet you all as well.

Thank you.

unravel -> RE: What are the odds of finding love? (11/13/2007 2:02:05 PM)

Good luck to you deadscout, don't give up but as what written above by many, maybe let things of Life come and flow to and from you, and do not worry too much about it, while still being precise in what you seek. It will come when you expect it the least you'll see:)
Best of luck!

Finding love online truly would be like winning Powerball.

The odds against you are high, the disapointments are there, the pain is real...but oh, think of the riches....

To win though, you gotta play....

AllforFun -> RE: What are the odds of finding love? (11/13/2007 9:30:43 PM)

I think there are alot of people out there that misintrepret lust for love. Try not to confuse them or they only make your search harder. [:D]

Love, it's a risky business!

I tend to think it's all about how vulnerable you're willing to be
with another human being.

I say give up [:D] .
