Owner59 -> 61% of VOTERS,want to impeach bush (11/14/2007 8:52:14 PM)

This includes republicans, also.

It's a little late in the game for an impeachment.  He will be gone in a year, so I don't see the point of impeachment.  Even if they impeached him and held the hearings, there wouldn't be enough votes to remove him from office.  It would be just another waste of money like the last impeachment.  I can wait a year.

MzMia -> RE: 61% of VOTERS,want to impeach bush (11/14/2007 10:08:09 PM)

I am not surprised, Bush threw a lot of his supporters under the bus.
Especially with his do nothing stance on the border.

TolerableCruelty -> RE: 61% of VOTERS,want to impeach bush (11/14/2007 10:33:36 PM)

84% of people believe information to be factual if there are official looking statistics listed within said information.

True story.

And another example of how liberals can't read what is right in front of them...the Poll you cited says 34% want to impeach Bush.  67% do NOT want to see him impeached.  Why do you keep posting such nonsense owner 59?  Why the constant need to make stuff up?

Estring -> RE: 61% of VOTERS,want to impeach bush (11/15/2007 12:29:03 AM)

If facts don't jibe with what liberals believe, they change the facts.

cyberdude611 -> RE: 61% of VOTERS,want to impeach bush (11/15/2007 1:10:46 AM)

It doesnt matter anyway. Nancy Pelosi says impeachment "is off the table." She has twice killed two attempts by Dennis Kucinich to bring up impeachment bills to the House floor.

So the Bush admin has a free pass for the remainder of the term.

Its funny that some liberals voted for Democrats in 2006 thinking that Democrats would open investigations on 9/11, on the Iraq war, and on the Bush administration. The Democrats have done absolutely NOTHING on that front. Those voters got bamboozled.

Lordandmaster -> RE: 61% of VOTERS,want to impeach bush (11/15/2007 1:15:19 AM)

Yanno...

All this right-wing banter about how the Democrats have failed to live up to their promises is meaningless noise.

What are you saying--that those of us who wanted the Democrats to open investigations into the Iraq war should turn around and vote Republican instead?  Hardly.  Look, let's assume, for the sake of argument, that your whole implicit point is correct: Democrats are shifty, so you never know what you're going to get; at least with the Republicans, you know what you're going to get.

OK, yeah, with the Republicans, I know what I'm going to get, and I KNOW that's not for me.

cyberdude611 -> RE: 61% of VOTERS,want to impeach bush (11/15/2007 1:27:13 AM)

Im not saying that at all nor do I expect votes to change. I just think it's funny because I was telling Democrat voters with that mentality last year. People I know were saying that they were voting for a Democrat so that they would get Bush out of there. And I said and quote myself, "You are living a dream if you think that's ever going to happen."

MzMia -> RE: 61% of VOTERS,want to impeach bush (11/15/2007 5:04:52 AM)

I am not happy with EITHER party at this point, and from what I hear
so are many other Americans.
Most days I can't decide which party I like the least.

servantforuse -> RE: 61% of VOTERS,want to impeach bush (11/15/2007 5:19:31 AM)

The liberals on this site will go ballistic this next November when the Republicans take the White House once again. With the low approval rate of Congress (the lowest in history) we just might gat the House and Senate back to..

pinksugarsub -> RE: 61% of VOTERS,want to impeach bush (11/15/2007 5:25:27 AM)

My nightmare is a Hillary/Al Gore ticket, facing a Jeb Bush/Donald Rumsfeld ticket.

This one beats out the 'falling to my death' nightmare i usually have.

Nah just vote for the other Dem that is running for that seat, and make sure the current one knows that you are booting them because of business as usual politics that they involved themselves in.

Also, Bush and his group wiggled their way into the Republican party with lies and deception as well. Bush and his group would actually be a third party, because they definately do not believe in less government, or in responsible fiscal spending. I must thank Bush though, because now I am a conservatibe Independent, and look more closely at candidates of both parties. There have been some Dems I voted for in state elections, and they have done a moderatly good job, except I am voting against them this next election for not trying to fulfill campaign promises.

One day maybe we'll get to vote without holding our noses as we pick the one that stinks the least.

I fucked up,and switched some numbers around, by mistake.

I meant to say that 64% of voters think bush abused his power.I`ll take that as true,also.

61% of voters think that Chaney should be impeached.

I think of them as two heads from the same monster.
There`s not really a lick of difference between them.

My mistake ,for confusing the two.

This is a mis-reading of those low poll numbers.

The reason that they`re all in the tank,is the Iraq war.People want out of Iraq,period.When Americans naively thought that voting in democrats would end the war,the dem`s numbers were high.

When it became apparent that congress couldn`t stop bush,their numbers took a dive.This isn`t a liberal vs neo-con thing.People are just as pissed at the republicans in congress,as they are the dems.People are pissed a government in general.

This is why bush`s numbers have done nothing but decline,all the way through this time.He`s in Nixon numbers, now.At the height of the failed impeachment,even Clinton`s numbers were in the high 60s.He would have won again,if he could have run.

Maybe it`s the 2 % growth rate, that`s driving more people to reject bush.It can`t all be placed on partisanship.There are plenty of indipendant, middle roaders who reject the neo-con policys.

luckydog1 -> RE: 61% of VOTERS,want to impeach bush (11/15/2007 5:18:01 PM)

owner59 your survey says 43% want Cheney impeached.  Not 61%.   I did hear Randi Rhoads claim the 61% number last night on the radio.  I almost drove off the road laughing at how she twisted the results.  From what she said on the air, it was obviously not true.  But she seems to think her listeners are not bright enough to notice.  Apperantly she is correct...  Why the need to lie about poll numbers owner59.  This is the Internet, and anyone can check them.
