Ron, I do not know why you can't use the search function correctly, And I do not really care.  I did post the list of reasons.  The text of the joint resolution was sent to Congress by bush (he actually had his people do it, thats how it works).  you are playing a silly word game.  Bush didn't bomb anywhere, people working for him did.  Bush didn't detain anyone, people working for him did.  Bush never wiretapped anyone, his people did.  Bush didn't send a resolution to congress, his people did.  This is retarded, but seems to be the best you can come up with.  A perfect example of what this thread is about.

mnottertail -> RE: The Insanity of Bush Hatred (11/19/2007 1:41:09 PM)

But when he lied about the blowjob, he was at least as big a hero, and nearly as great a statesman as Bush.  Why all the insanity and hate there?  Nobody was killed during that blowjob, were they?

No-cons?

Ron

I try to obtain what entertainment value from it, as I can, while keeping in mind that it's as honest and factually based as pro-wrestling.

What happens, happens because it's thoroughly planned and scripted. Maybe that's why I'm so bitter. As an entertainment consumer, I'd disgusted at the poor quality of the scripts and plots.

Well, that and torturing people and calling it "Legal" and morally correct.

then where is the irrational insanity and hatred?  This good for nothing fuck aint done a goddamn thing.  he has wasted the taxpayers money while he choked on pretzels, he is not fulfilling his elected office and should be hauled up for treason. He is supposed to preserve, protect and defend the constitution of the united states of america, and here we have it on your ultimate authority, as everything we have from you------that he committed treason.

Weren't you just jumping up and down with your limited understanding and flailing someone about retarded?

Yes, the perfect example is you can't understand why someone you rightfully accuse of treason against the united states shouldn't be villified.

You go, laddie buck.........

luckydog1 -> RE: The Insanity of Bush Hatred (11/19/2007 2:05:27 PM)

well lets just leave it at your lie that I accused anyone of treason.  I think that shows how you are making stuff up to simply try to have some sort of point.

lets just leave it at you are nothing but innuendo and incorrect assumptions and outright lies that you pass off as fact. That would be more the case.  When someone blows your own smoke back up your own ass, you choke.

LOL, but you are fun to fuck with.

FYI, anyone watching, another luckydog1 inaccuracy cited in the link.

luckydog1 -> RE: The Insanity of Bush Hatred (11/19/2007 2:19:27 PM)

Yes,  for anyone interested, the link MNOT posted in post 227 (right above) has nothing to do with the Iraq AUMF, but is about the bill giving permission to goafter the perps of 911 and fund dealing with the aftermath of 911.

The date on his article is Sept 14th 2001.

Mnot thinks people are too stupid to notice the difference.  I suppose some are.

And notice that he accused me of accusing others of treason, which I never did.

Just a pathetic liar.

What will he attempt change the subject to next?

mnottertail -> RE: The Insanity of Bush Hatred (11/19/2007 2:24:49 PM)

and your link to bushes words that he sent down to congress is where?  Do you want me to pick out the constitution and show you the separation of powers?  presidents dictate no bills (which is pretty much what a joint resolution is) or joint resolutions to be signed by congress.....

Once again, lucky has got a snoutful of red herring to trowel on you rather than facing facts.

No, you did accuse him of treason.  You have said that others have done these things (which by your simpleminded logic, that you spew here constantly) intimates that he is treasonous by law........I am advancing the sort of argument that is your stock in trade, putting words in mouths. I am better at it than you (even though you would like to think you are a giant in the field) and it pisses you off.

Ron

luckydog1 -> RE: The Insanity of Bush Hatred (11/19/2007 2:31:27 PM)

Thank you for the perfect example of how hate ruins your mind MNOT.

You are reduced to telling lies.

Where did I accuse anyone of treason?

mnottertail -> RE: The Insanity of Bush Hatred (11/19/2007 2:43:26 PM)

You said this:

Bush didn't bomb anywhere, people working for him did.  Bush didn't detain anyone, people working for him did.  Bush never wiretapped anyone, his people did.  Bush didn't send a resolution to congress, his people did.

Each president recites the following oath, in accordance with Article II, Section I of the U.S. Constitution:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Treason, constitution.
Section. 3.
Clause 1: Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
Clause 2: The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.

I agree that he has done nothing to preserve protect and defend the constitution of the united states, as you also have said.

that's two of us bud. Treason.

Ron

luckydog1 -> RE: The Insanity of Bush Hatred (11/19/2007 2:49:04 PM)

Clause 1: Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.

America can bomb, detain, and wiretap. There is no treason there.  adn the president can send a bill over for consideration if he chooses.  It is only fiscal bills that must originate inthe house, though the president is allowed to send sugestions over to them.

You are just making shit up MNOT.

I guess to avoid having been caught trying to slip a totally unrelated article in.

You clearly do not have the honor to admit that you were either intentionally trying to slip that in, or too simple minded to understadn the date and what that article was about.

Typical for the Haters.  No honor, no integrity, and telling lies.....

Let's get this clear, Iraq is not free, it is in a state of chaos due to the US trying to impose its vision on the country. I am sure the Iraqis would love to be free but the US has not freed them. 2 million in exile and another 1 million displaced and who knows how many dead is not freedom. US government policy is to pressure the Iraqi government into privatizing the oil industry and the US oil companies are in line to get the lucrative contracts.(Maybe US media doesn't report this) but there have been many members of the Iraqi parliament on TV over here angry with US pressure and questioning US motives.

I didn't say my opponents were retarded, I said their thinking was retarded. We can argue about the English language if you want. How people can ignore the evidence of what has taken place, the lack of evidence supporting Bush's view and the number of people associated with Bush that have made big bucks is beyond me.

Iraq is in a partial state of chaos as a result of having certain freedoms, meatcleaver. I suppose that Lucky is right, you'll probably always believe that the people of Iraq need a horribly bloody socialist dictator like Saddam Hussein in order to be truly "free".

If the democratically elected government of Iraq chooses to privatize their oil, so what? How is that "stealing" it. Even if the United States asked them to privatize their oil companies, it isn't the same as your earlier claim that George Bush (or America) is "stealing" Iraq's oil. Even if American companies are in line to buy some of it, your earlier claim was a hateful, emotionally charged attack and it was dishonest. The fact that you're now backing off of your (earlier) claim that we're "stealing" Iraq's oil only goes to further illustrate FHK's OP talking about hateful, emotionally charged rhetoric overtaking reason on the part of the Left these days.

Finally, it's funny how you minced your words so delicately regarding your last "retarded" statement. Speak in more of a straightforward manner about things, and you won't find yourself having to do that in the future...

You are being completely ignorant and asinine now. NG quoted Sartre who said the French have never been so free as under German occupation. He was making a philosophical statement about existentialism.

Nothing like using words out of context to prove a point. No wonder you appear to believe Bush when he makes similar arguments totally out of context.

No I don't believe the Iraqi people need a bloody dictator to control the country but I don't believe you can impose an alien political system on a country either which was why Iraq existed and ended up with a bloody didctator and I don't believe the Americans have freed the Iraqi people either or care for their freedoms and wellbeings. We all know that the US having failed in their quest want to cut and run.

Actually the original complaint about Americans wanting to steal Iraqi oil by pressurizing the Iraqi parliament into privatizing their oil and giving US companies lucrative contracts was made by IRAQI MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT. The suspicion of the world is that the Iraqi invasion was about oil, the US policy in Iraq is strengthening that suspicion.
