I think pinkie just wanted to ruffle feathers, get compliments for "patriotism" or up her stats by another post. She obviously isn't interested in owning up to this, or keep this an active thread since she's not responding to all queries aimed at her. So, yes, I think it's a futile request. Um we have fundamentalist Christians who are just as radical and extreme in the US as the Muslim Extremists in other Islamic country's. So does that mean no more Christmas Stamps?

Why is it that we talk so liberal about "Islamic countries" anyway? Why not also talk about "Christian countries", "Jewish countries" and "buddist countries" as well? Just an unrelated thought...

i think I'll buy the stamps,... in every race in the world you can find terrorists. its not just the muslims. and i think its nice to see the postal dudes are making stamps for their holiday when we have stamps for everyone else's holidays.

~FR~ Just as a by the way, only 7% of the world's Muslim population is Arab, which includes the Middle East. Since pink brought the Middle East into it, Iraq has large numbers of Christians who are thought to be some of the first established Christians for example. That is a fact not a religious debate. I refuse to debate religion as I said before I found there to be some scary small mindS on this thread though am happy to have seen less of that as the thread has progressed. Religion is personal and while I will easily tell mine, I don't want to fight over mine and someone else's. Open discussion with open minded friends I know in real life is fine for me, but not here. We all have the right to believe what we believe and frankly feel that this thread should be shut down. I see it's purpose as little more than to inflame. I don't care what is on my stamp as long as my mail gets to where it needs to be. It sometimes doesn't but that is the USPS fault, not the stamp. My personal rule is not to discuss religion or politics with any but a select few and I was drawn into this. I won't be again. Be Well All, EG

I’m agnostic and I don’t mind discussing your religion in any location I choose. Debate should happen in the most unlikely places because it’s where you’ll get the answers you least expect. If you don’t want to discuss something then there is always the food game for you. Don’t try to stifle debate by throwing insults at people and pretending to take the moral high ground. Thanks.

Call me crazy, but I dont see what shes all in a huff about. Its a friggin stamp. Buy it or dont. A gun isnt being held to anyones head saying "buy this or ill splatter your fuckin brains all over." Then again, what do I know? I'm young, and still judge people based on how they truly are, as opposed to what Religion, Race, etc. they are...

IF this had been a religion based thread then I would have been more than happy to have discussed it. However, it is about a 7 year old stamp. I stated what is true for me and saw plenty of insults hurled at me in case you were asleep while typing them. I am truly sick of placing my own opinions, thoughts and/or ideas out there only to always have one jump on me. Seems nobody else is jumping on those who have said worse. Want to make a thread and debate/discuss religion? Fine, if you do, I'll be there. I take MY moral ground, high or low it belongs to me. I do not need labels for my morality which also has little to do with my religious beliefs and more to do with who I am as a human being. I clearly believe in right and wrong though what is right or wrong for me will not be the same for another. Oh, just as an aside, I also do not believe in defending myself, my thoughts, opinions, ideas though am happy to discuss them and back them up when need be in debate though not to defend. Should I see the above mentioned thread I will be there. If not, I am not returning here so say what you will. I will not be back to see it. This is quite silly over this sort of thread. EG

Holy Cow I just read through four pages of flamethrowing and I think my eyes are going to fall outta my freaking head...... It is nothing but a stamp either you buy the damn thing or you do not. I have to say that All muslims are not bad people therefore there is no reason that the USPS should not produce the stamp in question, also from what I have gathered it is a 7 year old stamp why the hell are we just now bitching about it?!?!? Okay so that was my two cents that I felt after reading all this deserved to be added....
