There is no warning sign, here. No, flying stones to dodge.

I came. I watched. I participated.

I am a man that can feel emotion like any other. Just because I self identified as a dominant. Does not mean, that the seperation or loss of a partner can not hurt me. By "loss", I do not imply death. Simply, the act of losing one so close to ones heart.

I am a man, therefore I feel.

She who was my slave. Who has worn my collar, for the better part of a year. Has left me.

I do not seek to replace her, nor will I try. For I know in my heart, that she was very special. Eyes that made me smile. A presence, that warmed even the coldest rooms.

This is my good bye....

Sir, i empathize, and as i read Your words, i feel Your pain, and sorrow. i am very sad for You over Your loss Sir. i also know there is nothing i can do to make it hurt any less. What You said is so true, Masters have feelings, they have deep feelings, they cry tears sometimes too, just like anyone else. They are not machines. Or Towers of endless strength and endurance. i really admire Your open spirit, and courage to write about what You feel Sir, making You a true Master in my eyes. Thank You for setting what i personally feel, is a fine example for others Sir.

Mine as well. It is nice to know that some of us on here are, indeed, human. Take solace in the fact that time will heal your pain, and that others empathize with you.

Sorry to hear about being left like that. As a friend tends to tell me during those moments when I'm beating myself up (not literally) about being too emotional - feelings are proof that you're alive. If you don't feel, you're either dead or a sociopath.

You know, some would think that if a dominant (read man or woman) cries, that they are less than what they should be. That there is weakness or something wrong with crying or grieving. Nothing could be further from the truth in my opinion. Dominants are human. I cry, sometimes at things that might seem outlandish to others, but I don't deny my emotional release that I need.

I wish you well during your healing process. Loss is never something that is easy to deal with, but know that there are others that are here to support you during this time. Feel free to email me if you wish.

I know your pain and empathize.My Bitch did not wear a collar nor were we together but a few months,but I have loved and lost,I should say reduced to play partner but I dont think that wil last for I will lose respect for myself by settling....I'm hoping he will change his mind.

So sorry for your loss here, and for the pain you feel. The tears only make you more human, and they are a sure sign you are comfortable with who you are basically, which is equal to a good Dom, here for you, and wish you a journey to being well again.

I'm very sorry to hear this. I only hope she left properly. It's especially hard to take when someone you love leaves you in an undignified way.

Time heals all wounds. Coming from a person who has now been to 397 funerals in her life. Talking to other's helps a lot.
