Cyntilating -> The "S" word (11/23/2007 3:03:11 PM)

So, I am reading one of the other threads and the term SLUT is being thrown around in various ways.

I don't want to hijack the other thread, so asking my question here..

Slut

What does the word mean to you?

Does it mean a negative thing when you use it ( call someone that ) ??
Does it feel negative when you are called a slut?
Does it feel different? less acceptable?  > when a man calls a woman that or when a woman calls another woman that?
Can men be sluts too?
  (giggles)

positive or negative<< is determined more by the attitude of the caller of the name  or   the attitude of the receiver of the name ?

breatheasone -> RE: The "S" word (11/23/2007 3:07:08 PM)

My knee jerk reaction to that word was VERY negative...but I have become desensitized to it now.

Nope. Been called much, much worse than that.

No
No

I don't see why not. Labels of this kind are not gender specific.

BlueAngelEyes411 -> RE: The "S" word (11/23/2007 3:10:31 PM)

i personally hate the "S" word. It seems to diminish everything that has been said or affection that a Dom or Master has shown before.
Just my opinion.

dcnovice -> RE: The "S" word (11/23/2007 3:11:10 PM)

slut = sexually liberated, unafraid (of) tittle-tattle

Cyntilating -> RE: The "S" word (11/23/2007 3:11:21 PM)

Thanks Breatheasone and Irish, for responding..  : )

   definition ?

mistoferin -> RE: The "S" word (11/23/2007 3:12:24 PM)

Words only have the power that we give them.

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: The "S" word (11/23/2007 3:12:24 PM)

i'm Daddy's slut and proud of it.  i don't feel it's negative because He says out of love for me. besides one of many names He bestows to make me all gooey and horny inside.

Actually it means very little to me in relation to sex; as most seem to apply it. I grew up on the streets where terms like slut, cunt, whore, bitch, etc were used regularly. It's just another label or nickname to me.

and so it has a positive meaning to you, rather than a negative conotation...........interesting...
thanks : )

That was my humble effort to reclaim a (sometimes) nasty word.

I can actually see it as positive or negative, depending on how it's being used.

so the intentions of the caller and the attitude of the receiver has alot to do with how its defined even??
can be an endearment, even..
interesting ...

Slut

What does the word mean to you?

A person who will basically have sexual intercourse with anyone... When I hear or see this particular word I envision any club or bar on a saturday night at 2am, and those people making that last ditch effort to take anyone or anything home to have sex with.

Does it mean a negative thing when you use it ( call someone that ) ??

Yes.

Does it feel negative when you are called a slut?

Yes... never a good thing to call me.

Does it feel different? less acceptable?  > when a man calls a woman that or when a woman calls another woman that?
Can men be sluts too?
  (giggles)

Nope... the only time it's acceptable is when I hear it come out of my Daddy's mouth... but then he rarely ever speaks the word.

positive or negative<< is determined more by the attitude of the caller of the name  or   the attitude of the receiver of the name ?

I honestly don't care about their attitude concerning the word... I only care about why exactly they are refering to me that way... Now I completely understand that many people have developed their own personal definitions of this word and many others... but I think way too many of them forget that their definition isn't everyones.

Years ago> I think I might have given a similar definition.
    then theres always the question >
    define "nasty"

lol ...hijacking my own thread....sheesh..

but really...terms can be so relative...
and like Erin said > they only have as much power as we give them..

   nasty> doesn't always mean negative things to me nowadays..
can almost be used in a playful manner..
    well by some people..imo

thanks again

BlackKnight -> RE: The "S" word (11/23/2007 3:28:51 PM)

KyttynTheMynx -> RE: The "S" word (11/23/2007 3:31:38 PM)

From someone I am not on good terms with, it usually has a negative definition.

From someone with a fistful of my hair making love to me, or spanking me,  its got a sweet sweet definition...
