My Iguana Likes Collard Greens

My collar ceremony is in a tattoo shop. I tired to make the picture of it for my avatar but it was denied.
Other than that, no real ceremony. Master wanted to collar me, I wanted to be collard but I didn't want something that I would be able to take on and off, or something that might break, or whatever anything could happen to locks and steel, any jewelry for that matter.... so I offered to get mine as a tattoo... so far i've been in the chair for 2 sessions 6 hrs each and I still have a few more sessions to go. needs it color.

I'd just like to say that I love the way that this thread has ended up as a discussion of greens intermingled with people recounting highly significant moments in their lives.

Yes, isn't it wonderful that certain people have no respect for others and their feelings and thoughts and no maturity and then they whine that their alone.

I must have missed something.. I didn't see any whining here.  Sure it got slightly off course now and then but nearly all the respondents mentioned how they were collared along with cooking tips. I thought it was actually a pretty interesting and low-key thread.. even reading it over I couldn't find any whining or lack of maturity.Unless it was the whining that some don't like collard greens?

She very possibly felt ridiculed that everyone capitalized on her spelling error.

To answer the OP, I did not have a ceremony.  He used me very hard, and afterward as I was kneeling and exhausted, he put my collar around my neck and I thanked him.  It was emotional for me but then I tend to be sappy anyway :)

I really saw it more as gentle teasing than ridicule but you are probably correct. My point was that nearly everyone did answer her, did go into whatever type of ceremony they did/didn't do. I often have exceedingly thin skin and I know how it feels to have attention focused on the wrong thing until it feels like a freaking neon sign above me, I didn't see it slanted in a negative or mean way here. I really didn't see any unkindness with the jokes, I saw a rather unusual (and pleasant) mix of responding to the OP and using the mispelling to create sort of a dual thread. Maybe it is because I love greens and had fun reading the weird but nice mix? I've not done so before but isn't it possible to change the name of a topic once it is posted? I see a bunch down in Random that seem to change a lot so I assume that it can be changed even by someone not the OP.    Edited to say: Hot dang! It can be changed

Indeed and my apologies; I bungled the snippage and didn't catch it in the preview.

When I accepted Master Jess's collar there was not a special ceremony , and my collar is a bracelet .But my collar means just as much to me as any other sub/slave's collar means to her/him.
My collar/bracelet means more to my Master than a neck collar would because it was a gift from his parents upon his graduation from High School. The bracelet is almost as old as I am. I very much treasure it!

What a treasure indeed!

Hi Camille! i meant they whine on other posts that they can't find anyone. Also, i have read many threads where they (whomever) does this. It's not a matter of just changing a topic. It' s a matter of what topic it is changed to. It's insulting when people are asked a heart felt question and they try to give heartfelt answers and then someone demeans it by bringing up vegatables. Except for the ones who included their stories in their post about collards. Some people will be turned off by that and will no longer want to post. No one wants to be made fun of. There is a time and a place for everything. Mature adults should know that.

Don't take it so personally, southernhart!

To some of us it's irresistible to poke fun at puns, such as Collard (greens) when the topic was intended to be about being 'Collared' in the lifestyle.

Check your spelling or go back early on and correct it in a subsequent post, that will take all of the fun out of it for us punsters.  We like puns. We relish puns, we jump on puns to see how many punny jokes and comments we can think of.

You know what they say :  "Don't feed the Bears!"

Don't feed the punsters!

Cheer up!  It is still a great post.  Collards or not!

When my Master/Daddy collared me he actually sent mine to me in the mail....Told me to expect a package from UPS and when it got there and i opened it i couldn't believe it.

i THOUGHT i knew what it was but didn't want to presume it (but if you saw it is like a "Princess" collar-it's on my TSR profile)...it couldn't have been much of anything else.

i didn't take it out of it's wrappings totally or put it on until we spoke and then when we did he asked if i had it on yet. And i was like "Noooo i didn't think i was allowed to" and he had me put it on and that was one of the happiest days of my life.

Since then he has put collars on me when i have asked, but they are all the same as the first one...that i am His.

Edited to add: i love my greens with vinegar on them....yummmy oh yeah someone pass the cornbread

I was one of the ones who brought up vegetables and did not share a heartfelt collaring ceremony.   The spelling error was the only reason I posted on this thread.   I HAVE NEVER WHINED THAT I AM ALONE ON ANY THREAD!!!   I am insulted to think that because I found collard vs. collared funny, that I would be considered a whinner.   First of all, if I were looking I highly doubt I would whine because I had not found someone.    I have many good things in my life that not having a partner is going to cause any sort of upheaval in my life.    I like having a partner in my life but it's not life or death desperation to be partnered.   As for the collaring ceremony---for me---that's a private thing and although I enjoy reading what other's have done in theirs---I wouldn't find a need to share.   It's intimate---it's special and a private loving moment and one I wouldn't care to share with folks on a forum---no offense to those who did post---I just feel the way I feel.   However, I am appalled at least for me---that because I saw humor in this thread, did not post a heartfelt ceremony that I am considered a whiner.

My favorite way is cut in strips and sauteed in olive oil and garlic with red peppers.

But, no, we didn't have a ceremony.  He rose the issue a couple times, and I said I wasn't ready.  Then, one day, I was ready and answered in the affirmative when he asked.  I also told him that I'd like something I could wear all the time and not have to take off.   So, he gave me a gold chain that he had.  He didn't say much when he put it around my neck but I got really scared and panicky afterwards and was like that for a couple weeks or so.

When i was collared by my Master, Sir Drew, it was very private between just the two of us.  i knew that i was going to be collared that day.  i came into the room immediately undressed and went down on my knees in front of him and told him that i was his, mind, body and soul.  that i submit to him in all that he desires.   open and available to him, to be owned by him, used by him and loved by him.  i then begged that he accept my submission with his collar.

my collar is actually a very pretty everyday watch.  every time i look at the watch and with each minute that passes i know to whom i belong and have given myself to.  the watch is a wonderful and thoughtful collar for me in that it is discreet.  because if you wear the same watch every day no one thinks twice about it.  but i know what it really stands for and that is what is most important to me.

Boring buttoned up English girl that I am, I won't go into details about how I had my collar placed around my neck. But it was only M and I and I didn't know it was going to happen AT that time.It was somewhat ritualistic though. I didn't appreciate the placing of it, as much as I have the wearing of it (actually being owned).

PS. Are collards what we English call cabbage? Some of these recipes sound really tasty and it'd be interesting to see if we have an equivalent vegetable.

Yes, they are members of the cabbage family.
