So, no sleeping on the floor, eating off of paper and plates off the floor beside the table instead of with the owner, limited use of the furniture that sort of thing? (copped from a list A domme gave me recently) It's very interesting to hear the varied concepts we all have about slavery. For whatever reason, the decision to commit to full enslavement in my experience is based more on the emotional bond between owner and propety then it is on the practical expectations.

To dedicate yourself to slavery do not mean you have to live miserably. To eat of the floor and such might apeal to some but not to all, and they are no less dedicated for it. And while there are usualy strong enotial bonds and the realtionship may be based on it, belive you me, if somone are treated miserably (andy they do not like being treated miserably) that realtiohsip will not last that long, at least not willingly, or in most cases.

'pologize in advance for the slightly preachy nature of this post. I need to throw in 2c here, that's slightly off the topic. While I disagree with just about everything Raven says, I'm getting tired of seeing criticism of what he says jumping striaght to "well, he's a Gorean and Gor is based on fiction." Everyone here pretty much knows I'm not really down with Gor and its basic beliefs as I understand them, but it seems like a lot of the effectivness of disagreement is being lost in jumping, right away, on the "well, you base your life on FICTION" argument. I dunno, it just seems like that's the easy part to disagree with, y'know? I'd rather disagree with what he says, dirrectly, as opposed to the philosophy that backs it. That said. We -are- equal. Period. My status as my owner's property does not negate my humanity, and my belonging to him places me under -his- foot, not anyone elses.

i do not chrisesise Gor, i chritesised him. Now the fact is he quated his strange and mingeld version of Gorean philosophy and that is why i answerd as i did. Gorean is a nice lifestyle, i am curious aboute Goreans, i like Goreans, that do not mean i can not make a little joke on Raven`s expense on how the quted it.

i can agree to that perverseangelic, the Goreans get far more bashing than they deserve, every time one of them opens his or hear moth and pepole dont like what is coming out. (Or in this instance everytime one of them writes somthing.)

Hon, it was NOT a "tantrum"! Believe me, when I throw a tizzy EVERYONE will be able to identify it as such. it was humour and observation. If the original post bothered you, I regret that. I had no such intention. I was going for the "Ha ha ha... ouch!" response. While a great many of My posts are very dead-level serious stuff, I am also (sort of) capable of humour and satire and that was the intent there. As for personal grievances, I strongly believe that they belong OFFline. If I have a beef with someone specific I take it to them and we talk it out. The post wasn't directed at anyone. i rant from time to time to, it is a good way to get things out of your system, and somtimes you like to talk whit others aboute lifestyle related things, no matter how uninportant to most, that bother you. i belived the forum was for that to. i belived the forum was for pepole whit intrests whitin BDSM, D/s, kink and so on to meet and discuss, and ranting is definitly one of the way pepole talk aboute things. Raven, ok, let me try to explain why pepole got bent out of shape by your coment. What you said, basicaly, and perhaps you did not mean it like that, but it did sound like it, was that Emerald should not be aloved to ask her question becouse she is a slave. It sounded like you would like for every submissive woman on this forum to behave like the slave girls in the Gorean books, restricting our freedom of participating in the forums debate. And that got a few a bit pissed.

i moved across the contry whit my Master, i dont think the OP is critesising pepole willing to relocate, i think she is talking aboute pepole that are willing to relocate at once, aka now.
