No, this never happened to me, and really i am not sure how i would react if the recipient of my personal and private thoughts for the Dominant were to be used as a trigger for any kind of punishment, unless one of the journal entries was a blatant and conscious sign of disrespect for the Dominant. Overall, a journal "should" be safe.

I am required by my Miss to write a daily journal entry here on collarme. She has commented many times that she looks forward to reading it each morning, but has never commented negatively about an entry or used it against me (except the day I missed which cost me a privilege).

To Masterslena's point, it is rather tempting to write entries that can be construed as "topping from the bottom" or trying to manipulate in some other way. Whenever I catch my entry heading in that direction though, I realize that amy such attempt would be transparent to Miss and actually hurt our relationship. It would be like having a newspaper column and using it to complain about your SO when you have never talked to them personally about the issue.

Back when we were LDR I had to write him two emails a day and frequently they were journal like letters. I used the emails as a way of sharing stuff with him that I didn't feel comfortable talking face to face, or even on the phone. It was not manipulative and he understood that it was my fear of his reaction that caused me to need to communicate in an indirect way.

He was never angry about it, he encouraged it. And because I didn't get punished in any form for anything I said, I have since become strong enough to be able to talk face to face.

I have to agree with lockmeupplease. So long as the sub is professional about it and remembers his or her place in the relationship, there should be no reason to punish them for a journal entry.

I don't know about punishment, but I hope that a Dominant would at least confront the sub about being manipulative, even if it wasn't totally conscious manipulation. It reminds me of 15 year old girls writing thinly veiled assaults on their former BFF on Livejournal

My M'Lady never uses my journal for punishment . it is more a tool to allow her to judge how im feeling and to guide me to a better understanding of the lifestyle
