My Wife has directed me to create a playlist on her iPod that she can use as background music during our scenes. While I know what kind of music both she and I prefer for this type of activity - mostly mellow, ethereal, either instrumental or with lyrics - I would appreciate any suggestions others have. I'm not opposed to anything in particular, with the exception of anything really hard like speedmetal or the like. Thanks in advance for any input.

I am sure you will get some people responding, but I would also suggest you use the search function and insert the word 'music' or 'scene music' - as there have been many threads - some really recent on this topic - you will find that might help you too. the.dark.

Depeche Mode I find them wonderful to bottom to; it helps well with the headspace.

Youtube is a good place as you can listen to the songs to determine if you like and do searches of songs /artists some suggested searches gregorian, enigma, evanescence, Apocalyptica, delerium, sleepthief, enya

Yeah! I was going to say Depeche Mode. Some of their songs are explicity about BDSM, but they're sexy as hell in general.

I like sound tracks from almost any vampire movie, some Enya, and Enigma work and the trance stuff ButtBoy does is pretty cool, too: www.buttboymusic.com For some odd reason, much of the irish music works for me, too. B

I personally prefer either jazz or the classic soul sounds of artists such as Barry White, Lisa Stansfield or Teddy Pendergrass for scening. But as they say, different strokes for different folks so you have to find the type of music that puts you and your partner in the right mood.

Okay I'll do it "DJ Zulu's Songs to Top/Bottom To" :) 80 minutes of hot music including Trip Hop (Portishead, Massive Attack), Chill Out (OM Series, DJ Skriby), Mood Music (Enigma), F*ck Music (2 Live Crew) and Heavy Play (Jerry Goldsmith film scores of the Omen and Alien) and so much more!
