I don't think engaging in anal sex makes a man less manly.

I don't think engaging in anal sex makes a dominant less 'domly'.

I wouldn't enjoy being in a relationship with a dominant that did things because I allowed it.  That gives me the authority and it is not the type of relationship I was seeking.

It would be ignorant to have such ideas in my opinion.

Anal sex is enjoyable because the anal cavatity is filled with nerve endings in both sexes. In men the prostate gland is stimulated and this can make anal sex even more enjoyable for men then for women. Enjoying anal sex has nothing to do with being gay, btw, it has to do with the way human anatomy works...

And being gay does not mean one is less of whatever gender they belong to... it does not make women less womanly to be lesbian, and it does not make men less manly to be gay.

Nope, not less manly at all.  It is just one of a varied plethera of sexual acts that anyone (male or female) may enjoy.  If it feels good to him, as it does for many men, being fucked in that way is his perogative.  It doesn't matter if it is something he requires his submissive to do, or that he does with another sexual partner.  Doesn't matter if it's in the context of his D/s relationship or in the context of a "vanilla" encounter. If it's something he desires, then I say go for it.

What is the "norm" in the general population is not necessarily the norm in WIITWD, and that disparity extends to far more than just what goes up whose ass.

What is more usually the "norm" in a D/s relationship is embodied in your tag-line: "Thy will be done ............."   If any act pleases the Dominant partner, it is "dominant behavior" when they get whatever it is that pleases them.

As for the "manly" aspect of it, try to remember that Alexander the Great was among the important historical figures who enjoyed anal play.

I'm not interested in having anyone touch my butt at all, and it's likely because I was raped at a young age.  I'm over that now, but I'm still not comfortable with anything near my ass.
