HI, First and foremost I hope the surgery was totally successful and your recovery is going even better than expected. I have had 3 major surgeries in the last 7 years including "female abdominal" and I can really relate to your wanting to do "something". I would add my cautionary words to everyone else's. Total healing, even a vague possibility of bleeding or infections, a wrong twist or pull or flinch, so many things 'could' happen. Even if you think the odds are high that nothing bad would happen, is it really necessary or worth the risk. Also, if you are still on any pain meds at all, even otc, it can effect how you feel if you play. Something that I was not prepared for at first, but others have agreed it happened to them as well, is that following a major surgery and or injury, my pain levels - that is my tolerance to pain - changed drastically. At first I could take very little pain as compared to before. Over time my tolerance levels seemed to change both up and down again for a few months. I do not know if it has to do with the types of anesthesia or pain meds (one surgery required some very heavy duty meds for nearly 6 weeks after) or if it was the trauma my body went through with an injury which required the surgery to fix, or if it was the long long time with no play at all for total recovery. The surgery that was the easiest physically was the most traumatic emotionally and that too may have had an effect on my pain processing. Just please be patient and err on the side of caution, as they say. Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery. Opal
