ya well, Ron you might be forgetting that common sense ain't as common as we would like to believe. usually everything we need to know to make a good judgement call is right in front of us, but if one ignores or has a blind eye well....calling someone a fake because they are camless is one persons way of sorting the "fake" from the "real".
some people just lack intuition and they have to resort to electronic technology to make up for it.

(ps. Ron, not everyone is as smart and as intuitive as you and me...lol)

There is no way to tell if someone is male or female without seeing their genitals, webcam or not.  One could also say that only wankers ask to see a person's privates on cam. Guess that means wankers are "real" and non-wankers are "fake."

Status: offline 		Oddly, I had a girl offer to verify herself to me via webcam, but I couldn't do the same for her, as my current cam is broken. *shrugs* I've also had people approach me,, then tell me I must be a man since I don't do cam. Yes, all the candid photos, paired with my own website, clearly makes me one of the men. Meh.

If you asked me to come onto a web cam, I would block you first thing.  Huge turn off.  I just ask if you are married.  Then I ask if you are male/female.  How difficult can that be?

Also, not every computer comes with a cam. I dont have one. And it isnt exactly very high on my list of things I need to buy.

Very true. Most of My subs don't even own webcams, and I can say for a fact that they're *not* fake. There are always different gauges of sincerity - money happens to work very well. :)

If the OP really does need to see someone on webcam to ascertain whether they're 'female' or not then I'm sorry, I genuinely feel very sorry for her, because her statements betray her very real trust issues with other people.

Being female or male isn't anything to do with how you look or what you have in your underwear, it''s who you are inside.

Being male or female has got nothing to do with what genitals you have, it's who you are inside. As far as I'm aware the only instance I know of when inspection of genitalia to determine gender is important is when you are a dog. But you don't have to agree with me, if you think a male and a prick are synonymous as is a female and a pussy then okay, that's your take. There are exceptions. I'm one for example.

Status: offline 		Here's how I weed out the jerks: anyone who demands to see a photo or a webcam within the first (cumulative) hour of chatting with me gets blocked. Anyone who asks in the first 5 minutes gets subtly mocked, copy-pasted to my (male) roommate (who then rolls his eyes and bemoans the state of humanity), and blocked.

If you want a specific photo of me, you'll just have to ask for something that is acceptable to be developed in a photo lab (my roommate works in one, he's been carred for life by the things he's had to colour correct against his will) and you'd darn well better be willing to wait the 6 or more months it will take me to use my current roll of film before I get it developed. I'm not wasting film and money because some random internet person wants proof that I'm me.
