According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male
and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer
drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to
mid-December. Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give
birth in the spring.

Therefore, according to EVERY historical rendition depicting Santa's
reindeer, EVERY single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be
girl.

i've known for years that its the females with the horns but in the stories... they are males. but it don't matter to me.. as long as i get what i want.

In otherwords, the reindeer in the stories are transgendered?! {giggles} or maybe Santa couldn't tell the difference.

Or at least some of the reindeer are transvestites. (falsie antlers) That would explain the "glam" of the bells and other tack... they were all probably going to hit some clubs after finishing the flight.

But then, Santa is a bear who's preoccupied with who's been naughty, and who's been nice, wears black boots, has a HUGE toybag, and keeps a whip. All he needs is a black hankie in his back pocket...

Figures. So Santa has a bunch of females pulling his heavy ass around in a sleigh, while he whips them to go faster........ Now all my illusions are shattered......... Instead of cookies HE's getting the lump of coal.

i have also contemplated Santa's reindeer because their velvet is still on and doing quite well while the rest of the population of the world's reindeer have long since lost their velvet. I did however find this article that may help to dispel any rumours.
