We've already had our first snow.  And it's been snowing the past two days.  Monday night was treacherous.  I like the snow, but after about the 5th time of shoveling my driveway, sidewalk and deck, I start hating it.

I am not fond of snow.  EXCEPT when it is light and fluffy, the dogs are romping (one needs a coat) and I am holding hands with my Sir, taking a slow romantic walk at midnight..... which wont happen soon cause he hates snow.

It's a whiteout as I look through my window.  I have already shoveled over 4 inches.
Lake affect is a disaster.

Not being able to get to work is not a good thing !!

MzMia,  well interesting start to the day with snow.my Lord works in that area and ironically He called the house here in PA this morning asking if we had snow accumulating on the ground yet.His wife spoke to Him before i did and at that time there was not even a flake on the ground.

funny enough, less than 40 minutes ago sure enough it started snowing.now i'm sure His wife(my Mistress) is happy but not happy in Her job this means indoor recess.

but regardless it is very nice to see snow coming and knowing there is going to be about 2 inches today.plus it's just the added that yesterday marked officially my first two months here in service to me Lord and Mistress.

what a nice way to start the day :)

Just about a foot of snow here yesterday. Schools were closed and there was a travel advisory all day. Snowed more last night. Got about another 4" where I am at. Still snowing some here. Light flurries but supposed to get more lake effect during the day. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

For those of you that already have snow, are you enjoying it?
[sm=mrpuffy.gif]<--Mia waiting for snow.  BUT not looking forward to driving in it.

We had our first snow last weekend.  Only got an inch and a half.  Hardly enough to play in.  Plenty enough for when it starts to melt and re-freeze to fall in.
I am the snow shoveler in this household.  The one with the good back in other words.  As I was shoveling the top driveway last night I realized it is 90 feet long and a back breaker.
That isn't including the bottom driveway.  It was only an inch and a half and thanks to some freezing rain it was 2 inches of solid ice.
So, yes I enjoy it and no, my arms are sore today.  We have flurries right now and are supposed to get 3-5 inches tomorrow evening.

Well, as I sit here in wonderful sunshine and mid to higher 80's, I am watching the whole snow belt area of MI, IL, IN, OH, PA and NY get dumped upon.   And that is as close to snow as I EVER plan on getting to ever again!  Here in the valley, there are plenty of us Easterners and Midwesterners that came here to escape the minus 50 degree wind chills, the whiteouts, driving and living in literally FEET of snow a year!  Everyone of them that I work with pretty much feel the same way...."Better them than us!"  I've lived here 3 winters now, and am still walking around in tank tops in the middle of "winter", while the natives are wearing big down coats, hats, scarves and gloves!

To all of you who love snow, have a great time...for all of those who hate it, c'mon out....the sunshine's fine!

No snow, but during our evening walk on the beach of Redondo yesterday we were confronted by 10-15 foot waves and we almost needed a sweater. Scary!

Damn, I am in NJ and heard it is supposed to snow tonight.

Of course I have a major job interview tomorrow and am getting my hair blown out, so of course it will snow. [&o][&o][&o]

....had our first blizzard, in Northern BC, a couple of days back. Very pretty, so long as there are plenty of logs split and i have the makings of hot buttered rum [:D]

I think the NorthEast is going to see a lot of snow this year.
We will see, fasten your seatbelts, it is going to be a bumpy ride.

Please, MzMia, NO!!!!  I am not far from DC and HATE the snow!!!  Especially when I have to, gasp, go out in it!

We had a very long fall, leaves took forever to turn and when they did the colors weren't as vibrant as they have been in the past - unless my eyes are getting old - it just didn't look as pretty. In fact there are still some trees with leaves on them - very weird. We had out first snow a week or two back, snowed here Sunday too - they had a 2 hour delay on Monday for school - ridiculous there was dust on the ground.  i just hope its a mild winter, not cause i don't like winter or snow but because oil is up to $3.20 a gallon - i need a break this season.  i don't mind driving at all in the snow - in fact i drive in blizzards if i have to - never got stuck yet. i do have all kinds of blankets and flashlights in my trunk just in case.

SDFemDom4cuck -> RE: Waiting for our first snow, who already has it? (12/5/2007 1:28:42 PM)

What is this "snow" you speak of? I think that far far back in my memory of childhood in the Midwest I recall that stuff. Today it's 80 and bright blue skies. We'll be firing up the grill for the prime rib and eating on the deck on Christmas day. Although the ashes a couple months ago resembled snow quite a bit.

Actually, I kind of miss snow. Or at least looking at it from in front of a roaring fire with a cup of good cocoa in my hands.
