ragdoll -> Do FemDoms typically only want male partners? (8/14/2005 9:18:10 PM)

So... i'm curious....
Do FemDoms want male partners? Is that what FemDom means? Does it mean a female who wants/needs to dominant a man?

Sorry for asking such a naive question.. but.. i'd really like to know...

i guess i always thought that FemDom simply meant a female who was dominant... and that the term could be used for someone who was straight, lesbian or bisexual.. any female who was dominant, you know? But after reading here awhile (alright just today - but i read a lot of topics) it seems most people who describe themselves as a FemDom are straight ~only looking for male partners...

So, is this true? It's okay if it is... i'm not making any odd judgements, honest! i'm just wondering.... that's all... (forgive the dummy-question - i'm new-ish to all this!)

-_-?

RagDoll it's not a dumb question at all. Fem Dom simply means female dominant, it does not denote to whom the dominance is directed... For that particular clue, you have to read each person's profile to see weather she identifies self as straight, lesbian or bisexual with the obvious "with whom I prefer to partner/play."
I like to partner with/be served by men, because I'm a heterosexual. M

ahh! thank you very much! *warm smile*
that helps....
and thanks for not thinking my question was stupid. i felt pretty foolish asking it (since it seemed like something that ought to be "obvious" and i felt a little silly for not knowing).

i do make sure i read peoples profiles (and i haven't actually initiated contact with anyone, male or female)... but if i do decide to send a note to someone interesting i'll be sure to read over their profile thoroughly :)

Thank you again, BlkTallFullfig!

Yay for you! Yes, read the profiles - and make sure when you do message someone that you say something to them to show that you read it.

And I agree with BTF - it's not a stupid question at all: if you don't know, you need to ask; if you don't ask, you will never know.

ragdoll -> RE: Do FemDoms typically only want male partners? (8/14/2005 11:00:22 PM)

Thank you to you too, SweetDommes :)
i'm finding more and more that the people here are really polite and friendly even to new-folks like me ^_^

thanks for the added advice too ~ i'll make sure that when i write someone i include some information that's in their profile (or ask them a question about something in it.. or - somethin' like that)... so they know i actually read it...

i can see how someone would like to know their profile was actually read! :)

I'm bisexual (Read: greedy!) and I'm a FemDom.

I want boys... and girls... oh right, and since I'm poly I'd like at least one or two of each. Now if only I could find the store that sold them...

By the by, ragdoll, I think you'll find that most people are friendly around here. Not too many HNGs (horny net geeks) or trolls lurking around at the moment. We keep the torches and pitchforks on hand for that sort of occasion though. Welcome to CollarMe!

CalliopePurple -> RE: Do FemDoms typically only want male partners? (8/15/2005 3:21:59 AM)

I prefer relationships with females, but I'm not actively seeking at the moment.

ragdoll, your avatar is disturbingly cute. Welcome to the forums, ask questions, and enjoy yourself. It's addicting here, I warn you. I didn't think I'd ever get into posting often and now I check the boards multiple times a day.

lilyophelia -> RE: Do FemDoms typically only want male partners? (8/15/2005 8:00:00 AM)

Nods ^^ FemDoms can like boys, girls, or anything else in between. my Miss, for example, is most attached to girls and to gay men (which is so cute and adorable!); She wants to own (in some capacity) a gay couple that She can direct in play...straight boys are almost as interesting to Her if She can make them do those sorts of things too. She's very unique... but...there are quite a few FemDoms who are strictly lesbians, for example...i think they come in every flavour except vanilla ^^ :P

Hi to the new girl!

Hello ragdoll,

Seeking to understand is never stupid. Anything that has to do with human relationships can get complicated. I know that my personal preference is for gothy/ geeky/ male to female transsexuals. An obscure little preference. Guys /girls can be alright, I like them younger then I am. There are very few pple over 35 that I have an attraction towards of either gender.

I agree that reading profiles carefully is important. Most people here put quite a bit of effort into being clear what they are looking for. Good luck here. This is the best alternative matching site I have come across. You will find some obvious fakes/ HNG's ( horny net geek) , but the ratio seems to be less. I found my bottom on this site.

Sylph

Welcome to the boards Sylph.
I expect you will have some luck finding the type you describe since I've been emailed by some of them, and unfortunately I'm not attracted to them; the ones who've emailed me before usually seem respectful, kind, and service oriented.
I wish you well. M

-giggles- You would know Lovely, Lovely Wife... Or are you the Husband? I guess we can flip coins on that one from day to day. -grins-

CalliopePurple -> RE: Do FemDoms typically only want male partners? (8/16/2005 2:09:06 AM)

The guys I do like could probably all be lumped under the Japanese term "bishonen", or "pretty boy". Not TG or CD (although I do like the occasional guy in a skirt), just guys that happen to have vaguely feminine features. There was one British sub posting here about a month or so back that was VERY pretty. Kinda regret not messaging him with at least a compliment.

And I wanna move to Canada just so, if I ever find that one special girl, I can actually marry her.

Sylph - Pretty Goth boys are the best. So are pretty Goth girls.

MsPurrmeow -> RE: Do FemDoms typically only want male partners? (8/16/2005 6:34:01 PM)

Male? Female? Not exactly relevant. What I WANT is a beauitful mind, a loving heart, and a nurturing soul. Whether it comes in a package that includes an innie or an outie is not so much my concern. I feel love, passion, intrigue and other mysterious connections to certain people, and there isn't really a hard division as to whether they sit or stand to pee.

FemDom simply means Self-identified as Female and Self-identified as Dominant. No more, no less.

Don't worry about questions. As you can tell, people here are warm and open (for the most part) and love interacting with others regardless of you experience level.

Purr

Not that your post was directed towards me.. but... i like pretty boys too. At least to *look* at!.. ~ i've never actually dated one or anything........

but.. the real reason i'm responding to you is to say that you don't have to move to Canada to marry a girl. You can move to Massachusetts, it's legal for two men or two women to get married here. ^_^

MistressGrace07 -> RE: Do FemDoms typically only want male partners? (8/16/2005 9:46:00 PM)

laughs.. there's nothing "typical" about what a FemDom (Domme I perfer) wants....

I personally have both female AND male submissives....

CalliopePurple -> RE: Do FemDoms typically only want male partners? (8/16/2005 10:25:02 PM)

ragdoll - I know I could move to MA, but part of me is wondering if the Northeast would feel right for me. I've moved enough, guess that's another thing to add to my list of places to try being. Just can't stay still sometimes LOL.

Oh, goody! I thought maybe it was just me. There's something about the term "FemDom" that grates on my nerves. I, too, prefer Domme.

oops! i'm sorry... ^^;;
it's just that i saw the term "FemDom" written just like that around here a few times so i just thought that was the right way to write it here! eeps!.. i didn't mean any offense to you or MistressGrace07 or anyone else.

...i wonder if it's better to err on the side of caution and spell it "Dom" or "Domme" ~herm! maybe i will try to do both all the time.. or somethin'... ~
