Scyn, that sounds spectacular! So unique and meaningful, I feel like you will certainly not regret it. The design I've had in mind since I was a girl has a yin/yang meaning to it. It is antisymmetrical like yin yang, and has some other mathematical balances to it that appear in nature (I've always had a scientific mind and loved the elements that drive the shaping of the world, and thus life), particularly involving the number phi, the golden ratio. It has always meant complementarity, balance, flow, dynamic equilibrium, harmony of opposites, the darkness and light that I've always known thrive and compliment eachother in me... and this was before I discovered D/s. Now it has even greater depth of meaning to me. I've never had the motivation to actually place it permanently on my body, was thinking maybe jewelry instead, but I've loved the design for so long, and its meaning continues to grow for me, especially now in such a beautifully balanced relationship I'd like to get that tatoo, to honor the depth of expression of myself that I've found. So like Stephan said, it wouldn't be an ownership marking, but it would be a physical representation of what our relationship means to me.
