The drug y'all are trying to remember is Reglan.

DRINK LOTS OF WATER, and take prenatal pills.

I nursed two UMs and even though the last one got cut off when he thought biting was funny, I can still squeeze out a few drops, and I stopped nursing him 1 1/2 years ago. I have a friend who hasn't nursed an UM for over 10 years and when she hears a newborn baby cry, she feels her letdown reflex and leaks a little. The key to lactation, if you can even start it, is consistency. The more you work it, the more you will produce.

Good luck to you...can't say I will miss spewing milk when I orgasm, or the 36 FFF boobs.

Yeah I think the "if" is the part she is having trouble with.

Yes, and as I mentioned before, Reglan has been associated with sudden, severe depression and suicide attempts in women. Talk about your benefit-versus-risk considerations.

Not encouraging the taking of Reglan, just stating that was the name of the drug that everyone was trying to remember. Doubt anyone would get a prescription for it unless medically necessary.

Thank you so very much for the time in answering! I feel that i will try the herbs first and "natural" direction before resorting to medication, if at all.... at least if unable to lacatate once again, i will know i gave it my all, then must surcumb to large gage nipple peircings!!  Gotta find some use for them!

Actually, lots of people procure prescriptions of Reglan and Domperidone in order to lactate.
I hadnt imagined you were promoting Reglan, I just wanted to make sure that the OP saw the side effects listed in tandem with the drug.

Sage advice, indeed.

There are a number of good books out on relactation or nursing an adopted baby that would give you tips and pointers. LLLI (just type it into a search) will also give you loads of information. Relactation is a labor intensive process that requires constant stimulation and maintenance. It is not to be taken lightly. There is no magic pill or food that actually makes milk, it is a bodily process. Any mother that has nursed a newborn will tell you it's work--some women are committed and do well at it and others find it too much. (That's why bottles and formula are so popular) I have several ums nursed into toddlerhood. All took practice, dedication and work. When you are doing it by yourself, I imagine even more so. Good Luck!

Blessings and Be Well,
Sage Femme (Midwife)

Constant stimulation with a breast pump and taking the antipsychotic drug risperdal can cause lactation in both men and women.

Again, Id suggest medical supervision for anyone taking this drug.

Trust me, your D or M will have tons of ideas of what to do with your nipples *grin*. From my experience, I found that nipple peircings often got in the way and there are many other ways to do the exact same thing without permanent piercings. Though the usual advice is that piercings increase sensitivity, for some it has had the opposite effect with their nipples, and then there's the stuff like: infections, bad placement, alergic reaction, etc etc.  If your D or M really wants the piercings, I could see that, but they could be a detractant otherwise.

It's like the tongue piercing thing. Having such a piercing is no substitute for technique, and some find it gets in the way or creates problems or can be a turn-off.

Perfectly agreed! For most part, nipple piercings get in the way of some really creative all-out nipple play!

That is one of the reasons why my Master has not wnated my nipples pierced.  He has not yet had me work at inducing lactation but He does consdier doing so...   So to keep that option more viable, no piercings for my nipples

Yeah, personally I would never want nipple piercings because I'd hate to risk losing sensitivity or have them get in the way. On the other hand, I have decided that when I turn 40, I want a boob lift...that's worth the risk. I don't have rainforest boobs, but pregnancy and breastfeeding has taken a toll, and I want those darn things back where they were when I was 25! And what the hell...while I'm at it, might as well get implants!

Be cautious with implants. Depending on how much you step up in size, they have to take off your nipples and areolae and re-attach them higher on the breast...which will leave you with numb nipples just the same

They're going to have to take them off for a boob lift anyhow. Like I said, it's worth the risk, and since I'll be under the knife, might as well get some implants...hubby is a boob man. I don't mind if my face ages gracefully, but dammit, I want the boobs to be age-defying! I already had bladder surgery, and female repair surgery, so it's like I never had kids down South...might as well get the boobs to match!

If it works for the two of you - power to you and have fun!!

Personally, I would never want to see the immediate response and effect lost that I see in nipple play! But everyone is enamored with another body part!

There is an obvious and natural solution, fall pregnant. It's 99 percent effective in causing lactation. The side affects are a human being whom you have to love and care for at least 20 years.

cheers
