It’s not just male subs. The problem is people form impressions of what they want someone to be rather than what that person actually is. This is human.

You can form that site SensibleSam but the reality is that literacy has little to do with profiles not being read. What did you prefer Jurassic Park the book or the motion picture?

It's the simple typo of leaving out a space. The correct spelling is "Ca Suka."

It's play that causes the person on the receiving end to cry out, "Ca Suka!" which is the Japanese equivalent of "Cor Blimey!"

Oh no, no, no. C'mon now. It's really "Eureka!" Eureka play. Holy s**t, I hope that doesnt involve a tub.....[:'(]

Eureka is a city in Northern California.

The abbreviation for California is CA.

A koincidink?  I think not.

Sensible idea Sam, maybe all Dominas should have to learn what emails from submissive males to just throw in the bin.

How about a litteracy exam [8D]

Does this "exam" involve naked men, whips, chains and eggs?  I'm all for it!

LOL   Your sense of humor always makes me laugh.  When I have a bad day, I read your profile.  LOL

To the OP.... In my experience, I have not found illiteracy to be gender specific.  <smile>

OMG... lol... Thanks MystressDream!  And a big thank you to Joshua69!  Loving MD post's, I had to look at the profile! lol  I have a new favorite to read now too!  Gotta love the mind that can put that together!

Sorry, I know this was the first page and off topic in a way... but damn it made me smile!

You must realize that you get what you pay for. This site is free and has very loose membership criteria. Basically if you claim to be old enough you can set up an account. The natural consequence of this open access policy is that many people have false identities, and/or lie about themselves. Another consequence is that - not having much of an investment in the site - they don't bother to be careful in reading profiles.

I you like, I could create a matching site that had a literacy test for membership. That would keep you from being bothered by dummies. But at least two questions arise:
  1.  Would there be enough potential male subs who would qualify for membership?
  2.  Would you yourself qualify?

Sorry Sam, the idea sounds good in theory, but not in practice. I am a member of another dating site which I will not name, suffice it to say the word "intellect" and connect is in the title. Ostensibly, to join the site, which is also free, one has to fill out a special test that determined level of intellect.

My experience with that site? I have never spoken to so many idiots in my life.

I find many more intelligent, thought provoking and intriguing posters here.

Tragically, all the good ones live far, far away from NY and NJ.

I don't know about male subs but a lot of male Doms seem to be illiterate too...So i think it is an across the board percentage thing...I did get a funny email recently where the man  made a typo where in a sentence to me he said: "I am not as viral as I was 20 years ago...." i couldn't resist writing back and letting him know he had a typo where he meant "virile" and not "viral" because maybe he wrote the same thing to everyone...Yikes![&:]

methinks viral is a transtion state somewhere betwixt vile and virile

I don't know maybe you would have to hold the eggs and make sure they didn't get broken.  Haha sorry I'm bored and a freak!

LATEXBABY64 -> RE: Why are so many male subs illiterate? (12/15/2007 3:30:19 PM)

This place is to much like a freaking used car lot. There good cars and bad cars and lemons forsure. You have to just look under the hood and test drive them to know the difference.

hardbodysub -> RE: Why are so many male subs illiterate? (12/15/2007 3:31:55 PM)

A fair number of women have profiles with narratives that say "NO MEN!" but search fields that say they ARE looking for men. I wouldn't contact one of them myself, but they should realize it's their own fault for having contradictory information in their profiles. Since the OP here has hidden her profile, there's no way to tell what she has in her search criteria.

I have always been one to get responses to profiles from male subs. I have made a profile as a dom/dom couple looking for female subs and a female submissive looking for a master and invariably, I get lots of responses from male subs who want to be dominated.

What gives? Why do these people respond when your profile reads "NO MEN, NO MEN" or when your whole profile is about finding a dominant?

I must say that I almost never get a message from a male dom when I specified that I do not want one.

Am I the only one?

Yes.
