ORIGINAL: BloodLuna Aileen its obvious that you have cared well for your body in your lifetime. A fast is a wonderful way to clean the toxins from the body and when our bodies are clean, our minds are crystal clear and strong. Which means that your mind, the most powerful thing you possess, is 10 times stronger than the cravings of your stomach. A few cookies cannot defeat what your mind gains when it works well. as you cook, breathe in deeply through your nose, out through your mouth - absorb the wonderful smells. Focus on the feel of the dough on your fingertips and the warm, internal sensation of making something for others to enjoy, allow the love you feel for others to flow into everything you bake. you can honestly focus your will on the sheer sensation of cooking and give yourself permission not to need more than that. Remember not to bake on an empty stomache, have yourself a glass of juice or some cider with a bit of nutmeg and cinnamon to sweeten it before you start baking and sip as you work. that will help to satisfy your sweet tooth so that you can stay focused. luna wishes you the best luna Thank you. This is what I need to read. Aileen, I could never have the willpower that you do for a fast, but my brother and sister in law do them all the time and swear by them. My brother lost 70 lbs becoming a vegan last year and constantly talks about detoxing fasts. I wish I could... I think you what you have written about WHY you are doing the fast to support your partner is all the motivation you need and that is really great. You look gorgeous already, but the fact that you are doing this to help him and yourself even more, is even more admirable. Sorry that I don't have any other better suggestions of how NOT to sneak a few cookies when baking, that is why I don't bake!
