If I was 18 today, I think I would probably be in queue for a session at Kink.com on Training of O. I'm glad I'm not 18 today...I think I would have gone off the deep end.
I'm 35, and even though the internet was out there in my early 20's I didn't have much access to it. My family didn't buy a PC until I was 21, and my parents didn't get the internet until around 2001, believe it or not.
So, with that said, my interest in bdsm grew organically out of my own fantasies that incorporated little bits and pieces from movies and fiction and even the news. I never thought I was sick or wrong for being aroused by it, but I was definitely embarrassed and would have never asked anyone to tie me up, but if somebody had asked to tie me up, I would have weakly nodded my head yes, and probably had an orgasm on the spot! When I got my hands on Anne Rice's Beauty Trilogy, that sealed the deal- I figured there HAD to be other people out there who were turned on by this, and I finally got a chance to be tied up- my boyfriend at the time asked me what I was reading, and I told him what it was about and he said he wanted to try tying me to the bed. It was AWESOME, but afterwards, he wanted to try more, and I was just too scared, and plus he was an abusive SOB, so glad that relationship ended. I floated in and out of vanilla relationships, mutually masochistic relationships and finally found Mr. Right, who showed me his riding crop withing 5 minutes of meeting me, and we've been playing ever since!
