If you're measuring for a collar, it's best to use a soft tape measure around the base of the neck with one finger in behind the measure. If you do not have a soft tape measure, use a string or strip of paper around the neck than measure the length of the string or paper strip. With any method, always include one finger to allow breathing room. You are welcome to email me for further assistance.
