rap! although i have to admit i will pretty much listen to anything, except for death metal, willingly. i really enjoy rock (especially 90s stuff and irish rock) also. but i live for hip hop.

Hi there, sweet Levelicious.

I can pretty much say I like all but the country and classical options.  Both kinda make me want to scoop my eyeballs out with a melon-baller.  I'm pretty much a renaissance chick when it comes to music because I've listened to so many different kinds through the years.

Anything but rap or gospel, I cannot stand it. I happen to really like oldies, rock , some country/bluegrass.

I can't vote!  I love ALL music - each has its share of good stuff in my opinion.  I don't have a favorite, it just depends on my mood.

So I can't vote yet.  Eek.

But I'm finally rebuilding my music collection - Yay!  The poor folks at iTunes don't know what to market to me, hah.

Aw, I can't pick just one, either... my musical taste is very eclectic. Satellite radio is, like, the best invention *ever*.  Does anybody else flip randomly through the different channels on satellite? I'll go from Broadway's Best, to latino, to bluegrass, to 90s grunge.....

Varied.

Soul at the top of the pile; rock, indie, pop, jazz float my boat, too. 

I cannot abide rap; I've never really given classical a go.

Most of my favorite music falls into one or more of these categories:
"alternative" rock, Goth, industrial, experimental rock, rock ballads, and select soundtrack music.  Within those categories, some is metal, some is acoustic.
 
 
Also, for some time, I've been listening to Japanese rock, some Korean rock, and some soundtrack music, almost exclusively.

MadameMarque and myself have similar problems.  There's no listing of goth/punk/industrial or asian rock ( be it j-rock or k-rock ).

I'd tend to see those falling into the "hard rock" category, though. Killing Joke, Black Flag, etc, certainly would.

i like everything except disco....including country and rap and opera....i can even sing the first and the last...i can't rap...my favorite style to sing is 15th century to current folk music...with a little Bruckner thrown in....
