There is also pickled herring in or not in sour cream sauce (this is not cooked though some would equate pickling with cooking). I used to love the sour cream version as a very young child. Now lutefisk, there is something ghastly. I have been to a lutefisk factory and just the smell made me not want to try it though I did and I should not have. [:'(]

Silly Genie... one look at lutefisk should prevent you from eating it... [;)] Did you get a chance to try the peculiar dish called smalahove during your visit, by any chance? It's basically a torched sheep (or lamb) head, cut in half, though nowadays they at least remove the brains before serving. Somehow, the only "traditional" dish from around here that I appreciate, is pinnekjøtt. Health, al-Aswad.

Well, it’s just about time to head out and do the Christmas Eve thing with one side of the family (the boring side – but we all have our social obligations, don’t we?) And then do the Christmas day thing with the not so boring side of the family. I am glad You didnt Sir! And also glad to see You didnt leave...I have been going through a rough time as of late which is why I never am on yahoo...and now that I am You are not pouts But I am glad You are still here...and glad its going ok today. Its pretty hard for me, this being the first year away from my ex of almost 6 years, and 1000 miles from any family or old friends...I could have gone with Karen and Scotty and the kids to their familys (karen being the Mistress I moved here to serve, yet am not serving, leave it to me!) But I didnt feel comfortable with that, and knew it would be a pretty hard time and so decided to get some work around the house done, and do alot of meditating stuff like that, get a grip on myself I guess...its kinda nice kinda not...we shall see, but if you get yahoo working feel free to IM me (I am always hiding, ie, invisable) AND WOW, You would think that was a email, sorry everyone, I ramble

Sighs I want that email that was going around, and I want to be viewed by Mod XI not much to ask for christmas is it? I ran a board for quite a while for the chat program I used, I was the only mod....and it just about drove me batty, I did have fun with it for a long time tho, and learned a lot, but no where near as much fun as I have here, and I dont have to worry about moderating. Arguing about having the RIGHT to post what you want is BS ....their board, their rules....if you dont like it, start your own and good luck, meh.
