No...Sadat was assasinated by a different group called Egyptian Islamic Jihad, lead at that time by Ahmad Al-Zawahiri. Zawahiri merged with Al-Queda in 1998. Prior to 1998, Al-Queda was a seperate group. Unlike Bin Ladin, Zawahiri has never been on the US payroll...he's always been an enemy. Today he is believed to be hiding out in the northern regions of Pakistan. The US bombed one of his safehouses in Afghanistan back in late 2001 killing his wife and children but he wasn't there at the time of the bombing. Al-Queda wasn't even really a major group until the late 1980s where the US financed attacks on the Soviet Red Army while they were occupying Afghanistan.
