Congratulations and lots of luck to the mothers-to-be!

This past year's been, in a word, crazy.  Lots of ups and downs, but mostly ups, the biggest one being my Kitty.  My life was pretty good before he came into it, but he makes everything so much better.  What more could a domme ask for?

For this coming year, I plan to finish getting my Bachelor's and get started on my Grad work, get involved publicly in the Scene, play LOTS of D&D and paintball, and try not to let my medical problems slow me down too much.  I'm feeling pretty confident about all of that.  [:)]

Well, its still January, so I'm resurrecting this thread from page "goodness knows what"!

I'm back tonight, thank the gods of jet powered aviation, from Prague - complete with my new boobs!

I arrived in Prague last Sunday, had examinations on the Monday and the op on Tuesday morning, care of a Czech lady surgeon, Canadian trained, who really knows what she's doing (reference on request). The only problem I had was being stuck with watching CNN all week as the only channel not in Czech - which would have driven me crazy, but then everyone knows I'm as crazy as I could be already. Honestly, even German TV would have been OK.....

I got my first look on Wednesday when the bandages and strapping were replaced. I couldnt believe it! Where I'd previously had something but not much, I now had two rather large somethings! The original plan was to put in (I think) 285ml implants but to do more if possible - I ended up with the largest, 305ml. No idea what size I might be now from looking but its definitely a large C or small D.

What was amazing was that there was no pain whatsoever from the surgery - two cuts about two inches long each below each breast and no pain at all - mind you it hurt like hell when the drains were removed, but only for a moment. They issued me with loads of painkillers but I gave them all back this morning before I left. In fact the only pain I had at all was from my arthritis - what with being strapped up and having to sleep on my back - which isnt my thing in any way!

The bandages are coming off again Wednesday and then I'm strapped up for a few weeks more - to make sure the implants stay where they should be, and then its urgent shopping for new clothes and who knows, maybe some new pics too!

Hey, congratulations on the sproglet, thats great news, and a Mini-Domme too, lovely.

Myself I have just gone back to work after being on holidays for three weeks, though sadly it was not much of a holiday, my beloved Mother took suddenly ill, and died three days after christmas, so that sort of threw Me and my sisters into a spin.

But we move on and grow..

So I'm up to two campus visits now (which I have to prepare for) and another interview this Wednesday.

Teaching a sample class, no big deal. Meeting deans and chairs and answering questions, again no big deal.

But I have to come up with a good title for my job talk and write that. It needs to be about my research (dissertation) but in a way that is appealing to historians who are not familiar at all with the period, the subject or the sources. That will be taking up a large part of this week for me.

So I probably won't be on as much as normal on here -- I'm on here far too much some might say -- until these visits are done.

Everyone please hope I get a position out of all of this so I can finally settle my lovely kinky, poly family down and start getting into a meatlife community again.

Awwww, congrats on the new Domme about to enter....soon...lol

Nothing going on here, looking for another job, looking for a new place to move to in April, had that dreaded birthday on Friday, which I spent the first hours in the E.R.  LOL  so this year's got to be a great one...lol

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!

Congratulations to the Ladies with babies on the way!

I am working on some health issues; had a mammogram, joined a gym and have a dentist's appointment this week.
Also working on finding better employment.

Both of my boys are fine.  And I adopted a kitty cat back in September.

Congratulations to all of the new additions!
I feel that 2008 will be a very good year!

MistressVnus -> RE: January Roll Call (1/22/2008 4:25:05 AM)

Congrats to all the expectant mom's!!
However, better you than me...*chuckle*
I've had a nice quiet year to regroup from several prior years of chaos and am getting ready to head back to either school or new employment.  Not sure yet which, but school being the preference.
I'm pretty new here to the forum and just want to thank everyone for making me feel so welcome.  It has been a delight, so far, as compared to some other forum experiences.
I, too, feel that 2008 is going to be a much better year for everyone!!

Cuddos to all those preparing for babies!
things down in my neck of the woods have been rather interesting and different ... the ice storm did some serious damage to my home so my beloved pet and my family moved into an apartment till we are able to repair the home ... which will take awhile as my knight was deployed to the dessert to do his duty for this country.

In short .. this new year has brought a LOT of new things that we are still trying to get adjusted .

Classes started for me last week for the semester to continue to learn some very advanced 3D modeling & animation software I'll be using in the projects I have planned as the foundation for starting my new business later this year.  On Monday, the UM's and I held a ceremony to formally say goodbye to Tabitha as we spread her cremated remains at a nearby park where I often took her walking.  For those interested, you can read about it in my journal.  I've also been following through on my commitment to myself to get out and attend local lifestyle events, meeting a lot of people and making new friends in the process.  So while some things have been challenging to let go of, I'm also taking steps to continue to move forward. '07 sucked, so I'm hoping for a better '08.

I just moved in with my fairly vanilla boyfriend and am on the hunt for a new addition--boy/girl/whatever--and am also job hunting like a mofo. Busy, busy.  I had been out of the BDSM world for some time and have recently stepped back..went to a local event this month and realized how much I missed having someone at my beck and call..

Here's to a good start to '08!
