Actually, laurell3 dubbed me the pet/plant/thing many moons ago, so I was
simply giving credit where credit was due. LOLOUDER.

I don't get insult emails, probably because I don't have a picture up.

Hehehehe, I share your feeling. The only silly mail I ever got was someone whining that "next time I should wish to attack her, I should do so privately instead of on the boards". Then., when I responded privately (and quite politely), she deleted my answer away unread .

But outright trolls, nope. But I'm a man, that helps I guess.

Back in the olden days before home computers and cell phones there used to be the same phenomenom via home telephones (land lines) called the "prank call" or sometimes the "obscene call" and what we did back in those days was to hang up the phone.  Since we didn't have a message board to discuss the matter, one would simply have to shake ones head and dismiss the incident.  The really cool thing about emails is that they don't wake you up from a sound sleep at 2 o'clock in the morning.

This kind of thing comes with the territory I'm afraid, the net is open to anyone with a modem and you'l always get people coming onto free sites like these (because it's free) and hurling abuse at people because they think it's fun because they can wind people up doing it.

I get messages like this a lot too. Just hit delete or report them.  If ive had ajust a your fat message I just block it. When I recieved messages that really were alarming and very rude I reported them and blocked them.

I always assume someone who delivers an insult in email or online is just a coward.  Or someone with a really tiny dick that has to insult someone else because its the only way their dick gets hard.

I always assume they're drunk and / or getting back at wifey and taking it out on you for her being the dominant one in their vanilla relationship. They seem to be emasculated, frustrated, ridiculous little people, not so much men as whiny bratty bully children.

There was one, though, that I think was a psychopath. Wow. I should have saved those messages as they escalated - the progression was interesting.

As the other poster pointed out that is like asking how do i stop a prank call....sheesh  In a word you can't.  Oh i forget your dom wanted to "yell at him"  That sure is productive.  Two morons getting into a pissing contest.  You 2 deserve each other ...

I feel so left out! Nobody sends me anything rudely hilarious.

I'm a guy with more than two sentences on my profile. That seems to intimidate the trolls. Maybe if I put up a pic of my wife as the main profile pic they'd come out to play, but who the hell wants that? I just scroll randomly through other people's profiles, laugh derisively at their unachievable laundry list of wants, and move on once I've had a good chuckle. Now that I'm forum haunting again, I'm sure somebody will say something stupid in my presence. Claw-sharpening is best played as a spectator sport, any way.

I ever get weird phone calls like that, in which no-one responds when I answer, I just bang the handset on the table a few times, put it on it's side, then walk away and leave it for a while..... and hope they were calling long distance

In the good old days when I had a profile on the "other side", I'd usually check out someone's profile (just the quick look, so they wouldn't know I'd looked) before I read their email. If they came across as an idiot in their profile, I'd often just delete the mail without reading it (guaranteed to piss them off). And then, I might block them.....

I don't know how many of you remember a couple of years back there was someone (I SO don't remember the name they used) but, their avatar was similar to Chia's (the pet-plant thingamajig) *please note that this post has absolutely NOTHING to do with Chia except for the avatar.*

Anyway, this person came on here making posts such as 'if a person is a submissive they should submit to everyone' and stuff like that. Whoever this was insulted almost every person they came in contact with on this site, probably intentionally.

At the end though, this person emailed many forum females telling us we were fat, ugly and stupid. Then he/she/it promptly blocked us so that we could not respond. And then, of course, this person disappeared and/or was kicked out of the fora.

Recently some 'dom' read my profile (while I was out of town) and proceded to tell me that Master should have not cooked for me, should have sent me to the gym, and that I was getting fat. When Master read this, he tried to respond, but...of course...the person had already blocked us.

I don't care. I find it funny. Master didn't want to tell me what he said, but I asked so much He finally did. I laughed very hard and kind of agreed with the guy.... But, has anyone else been dealing with this kind of **** lately? Is it really fun to insult people and then block them? If I insult someone, I at least like to wait around and see if they come up with an intelligent response....and if they do, I respect them much more.

It would be good to have a rule in place that once someone joins using an IP address, they can only join one or two more times with that same address. Wouldn't that stop the hit and runs, and yet leave an all clear for those who lose their profile for one reason or another?

Does anyone have any ideas about how to cut down on this bs?

Thanks!

~Christina

Christina,

Just don't stoop to "its" level.

I delete 99.9% of the emails i get on this site.

Sure, i do send the odd email back when i get insulted, but i don't let it ruin my day.  It just isn't worth it!

actually I am experiencing exactly this thing.  My answer is to post the insult and my respnse in my journal.  That seems to work :)

I did the same exact thing just recently.  Although I didn't post my response in the journal.  My response was "Thank you for stopping by.  Have a nice day"

Jen, thanks for defending me, but I think he's kidding.  It's my term of endearment for chia who I admire greatly and find ungodly attractive due to his undying wit and ability to make light at even the saddest and most inane situations.  I believe he knows this.  I think he also knows if it truly offends him he could tell me that, don't ya chia?

Bum Sir;

My Master did not want to yell at him, nor did I imply He did. He wanted to 'protect' me from being hurt, and He also wanted to answer the person's comments to me. (which, as I stated, I found funny).

But thank you, Sir, I do agree, we DO deserve each other.

I wish you well.

New Years Eve I received a message from someone, they said it was hard to know why I had a profile on CM, as I am owned, and I should leave because my having a profile raises false hopes in people like him.

I laughed. My thoughts were; if my having a profile under my present circumstances was an issue for him, then it was the least of his problems and I wouldn’t be interested, regardless of being owned.

I didn’t respond, I didn’t block, I’m not even sure that I’ve deleted; I recognized it for what it was and just moved on.

Who's my dirty girl? That's right.

Of course I'm kidding. Rare is the occasion that I'm not, then I've just shaken
and not stirred one too many. No one really offends me, they simply fan the
flames of hell fire. Hmmm, ungodly attractive eh? What? A blinding, blazing
face of spectacular light with eyes of lightening and solar flares of flowing
golden hair is coyote ugly these days? Fair enough, I shall stick to being me.

Who's my dirty girl? That's right.

I agree with Lady Hugs. Report people that send you messages strictly to harrass you or to be rude. I get those occassionally and oddly enough never from anyone that has actually taken time to talk to me. I figure if someone is sending hate mail to me then that person is probably doing it to others too and the more it gets reported the better off we will be.
