I like the new profile. I give you credit for knowing what you want. Hang in there and perhaps with luck you will find it. I would take out the part at the end about not wanting drama. Someone that's into drama will read that and just know to hide it from you. You will discover their true nature after much wasted time. You are in effect getting the opposite result of what you want by discussing it in advance. Oh, and sabrina ... I think the word you are looking for is indentured. [:D]

my honeset opinion of the profile of the OP is that when i read it i think, oh dear, here is somone looking for a roomate to do housework for them for free and pay them to. Then i read a bit further down and the OP seam not to realy know what they want. i am sorry i do not mean to offend but that is how it sounds to me. I won't win many friends saying this, but I'm trying to help and I must point out the most obvious.... CHANGE YOUR PICTURE! God people! Does no one acknowledge that even D/s involves the important element of superficial attraction. :) Maybe everyone was being too polite to say it, but you're both good looking kids, it sounds like you have money... So why does your main pic make you look just a step above two people sunggling under a blanket in a homeless shelter? It might not be you at all, its the picture. You're posed in an unbecoming and non-dominant posture... You're looking overly casual. (I don't know if its true, but it looks like I can see the corner of your underwear in the picture. None of this helps... D/s is partly about ethos.... Take some nice, hip pictures of the two of you dressed nicely, putting your best foot forward. This is especially important as many subs and slaves are looking for structured environments, overseen by well-principled, particulars Doms that will bring out the best in them. Your picture must portray this. Beyond this... Just remember, this is all a numbers game. Keep being honest, because it works in your favor. I think with minor tweaks and patience, you'll find what you're looking for.

with all due respect, Punkdom, i liked their picture. she has a nice smile in her eyes, and he has a good, Domly look on his face. they look comfortable, and friendly. and i told them so in the e i sent when they first started the thread. while i can understand that different pictures say different things, theirs is not bad. and ummmmmmm, do they have to be standing with legs straight, one foot slightly ahead of the other, holding a whip, or belt, or crop or flogger... oh, and don't forget the stern/sullen "I'm-a-Badass" look on their face, to have a Dominant posture? i am just going to say i do not agree with You about their picture being flawed, nor about there being one way to present onesself. i am not about to claim the ultimate in picture posting taste. l mine were taken on a timer, they just happen to be two favorites (within CM guidelines) of my Master. but that is what it is, taste. and their picture, while maybe not to Your taste, is not in bad taste.

Hey Sanita... First I never said there was one way to present yourself. You should present yourself as you would like but realize the implications of how you present yourself will change those you meet -- of which there are a myriad of different ways to present yourself -- some more or less effective -- and each involving different outcomes, desired or otherwise. No, they don't need a specific "Dom" like pose. You should be aware, however, (and pardon me for getting pedantic and scientific) that you can find ample research that suggests that the slouching pose found in their profile generally is percieved worse than lets say sitting up straighter. When I use to media consult, the first thing I'd tell a client when they went on television was to "not get lost in the chair" i.e. sit so far back as to strike a passive position that lowers your energy. People generally look better with certain postures. (and its been proven by perception study after perception study) On a related note -- if you're a slave interested in slave position training, do these people look like they're sticklers for posture? Once again, its perception. This is an important component of submission to many people, and the picture is a bad advertisement of this component thereby limiting the couples expected yield. (Yes, It sounds sickening when you realize the dating markets follow economic principles like yield) Look, its not that they look like bad people or even people I would not like to meet, THE QUESTION I POSE: WOULD THE MAJORITY OF SUBS BE MORE OR LESS LIKELY TO SUBMIT BASED ON THAT PICTURE? I agree... Friendly, comfortable, Domly look.... BUT SANITA... It looks like his pants are coming down in the picture... (it might be a belt, but once again, perception is what is being talked about here) Fact is this... How you look is a huge part of human attraction -- and the delightful diversity of humanity means that given an infinite time horizon you will have X percentage yield almost with any personal ad, however, if you stated goal is merely to find a Sub fast ... NOT NECESSARILY A SUB THAT LIKES PERHAPS PEOPLE WHO LOVE CUDDLING UNDER BLANKETS, then it may behoove you to change your picture. Thank you Sanita for airing new opinions on the matter.

Firstly, I think you basically been given a good many things to consider and only can decide what applies and what doesn't. Patience, I guess is the key in my opinion. Not just months, but maybe years. My case for example, My first girl was with me back in 1987. It was never a question that we would be poly, I still remember her words "I know that some day I will share you". However, it was not until many years later that I actually was ready and willing to take that step. Self-learning was a big thing for me. Your young and you have many years ahead of you, that just means lots of opportunities to me. As a note towards these last couple posts. I can appreciate what punkdom is stating. Pictures do express a certain image. There is indeed certain do's and don'ts for picture to allow a positive perception to be put forward. However, it is also important that the picture be honest. If this particular couple is not big on the prep look.. why would they wish to express that in a picture. In some ways, I would consider it misleading. Pictures do matter to some degree. A honest image can be an important contribution to any profile. Clearly if this couple wishes to show a very cozy and comfortable image - then nothing wrong with it. but do it well. Consider the image that you wish to express in your pictures that is an honest reflection of yourselves, and then do it well. I would also point out that multiple pictures are better and giving a more rounded positive perception than trying to go for the home run hit with one picture. Punkdom you might not like the image... but if it is an honest image, then that to me is fanastic. I would however, express they could do a better job in presenting the image. I do agree that the picture could be improved but still stay within the perception that is being presented.
