ORIGINAL: Driver1961 I never assumed you were a bitch Cali! but we are our on sternest judges! Why do you dismiss the concept of training at clubs? I for one, would be interested in having a medical professional explain lumps on breasts, vagina etc. Subs into Medical play would willingly assist. These demonstrations would in no way nullify a person's self-responsibility to medical examinations but would add an edge to a top's exploration and ministrations. I'm not sure I can really express my hesitation the way I'm feeling it (yeah, I know, me - at a loss for words - who knew it could happen??). To me, there is a huge difference between a doctor or nurse or other licensed professional showing me how to examine my own breasts, what is normal, what is not normal on me, and training someone ELSE that is NOT a professional how to do the same thing to me. Would I then rely on that other person and not do it myself? Would I stop going for professional exams? It is hard enough to get (most) men to see a doctor... if they could have some hot Domme checking their prostate, instead of some old gray haired dude, well, I'm thinking that's what they would lean towards (yes, yes, I know, lots and lots of generalizations there). This isn't something you can teach in a few minutes. It's something you become skilled at by training, by using medical models, by experience. I guess it feels kinda like if I were to read a massage book and maybe take one class, then I might be able to give a passable massage, but that still wouldn't make me a massage therapist. But hey, I would be trained, after all, I took a class, right? I think my hesitation is also colored by the fact that I have had a breast lump, and did have it removed (it was not cancer). I did not feel it, my doctor did not feel it, it was found on a routine mammogram when I turned 35. I would hesitate to encourage anything that might cause people to find the one excuse they need to stop seeing their doctor. Okay, I'm sure that I've rambled on here. Like I said, it gives me not-so-good feelings, but that's just my opinion. Cali
