i's like being in here as i feel i am surrounded by tons of Master's. Wouldnt it be nice to be in a room, surrounded by Masters and just to be in awe of all the power?

Hmm but aren't we all in agreement that subs and slaves have power? It's merely in the consenting to transfer authority that the masters are given any specific status within the relationship. Masters in and of themselves are no more powerful or awesome than slaves.

I'd find it interesting to be in a room full of very aggressive, self-aware, dominant personality people, whether they are oriented as slaves, masters or vanilla.

Why would there be a fist fight? Sorry, I am not following the logic there.

Multiple aggressive dominant personalities rarely co-exist in harmony.

I disagree. Being dominant and masculine does not preclude coexistence with others of the same stripe. It most definitely does not have to be a predictor of violence. Overt aggression is not necessarily an element of the dominant personality. Might be fun to watch the less mature ones duke it out, though.

LoL, I have seen some open competetion when a new female attends a lifestyle event, but never an out-and-out brawl. Heck the competion is usually pretty clean even. Nobody talking smack about the other parties.

The funny thing is, this isn't just a male Dom thing. I have seen male subs jocky for position with a new Domme as well. Females on the other hand will be less direct. They tend to primp a little and try to catch the eye of a new male. Fewer women chase a man all evening.

Call me unaggressive if you like, but I think its rude to do more than welcome a newcomer unless they express interest in conversing.

I also disagree. There maybe competition, but mature people can do it without violence.

I recall once my Recon platoon was at Bragg awaiting the gods of the Air Force to get us where we were supposed to be. Just for a bit of recreation we started to run around the housing area. Bragg being Bragg, there were a number of Rangers and Special Forces about. Some of them fell in with the run. When we had completed the number of laps we had planned, not one of my men fell out. Neither did the "foreigners." They just ran past me. Not to be outdone, I fell in behind the "used" roadguards and worked my way back up to the guideon. Around and around, we ran. Not one man of either group dropped out until they simply dropped from exhaustion.

Finally, a field officer realized what was happening and ordered us all to stop. Pride of self, pride of unit, pride of history doesn't guarantee battle but it does push one beyond where one thinks one can go.

I surrender!

curse to the wisdom of age
and all that it shall teach
for the lessons of youth
are to be lost in breech.
more wicked come years
the skin topsoil for tears,
So weep not for learnings lost,
each in his way time has tossed.

I'll have to take your word pinkpleasures. At our local events it is specifically against the bylaws for men to be in the ladies room.

And I never realized the reason women went in pairs and groups to the powder room was the same as guys taking a wingman to the club. In other words, it's nice to have backup just in case!

Oh God Fury, I about crapped myself laughing at your post. Then I realized it was pRimpin not pimpin. Your point made more sense after I realized my mistake, but wasn't nearly as much fun.

Off topic John, but I'm curious. What year were you at Bragg? It may well be that we ran accross each other there.

When US ships visited Fremantle, Western Australia I used to have fun with the leather necks, and have fond memories of many a drinking and whoring session too. However I had been known for starting a few friendly fisticuffs there as well. When slightly intoxicated and in a shit stiring mood, I had the habbit of jumping onto the bar and yelling "One SF guy is worth a Recon Platoon" Heh! I never won the ruckus but I made heaps of friends to show the sights and party with for the rest of their stay.
